One of my harddrives are failing. Bad sectors en masse and cant copy or watch anything, so i guess i'm just waiting for the imminent doom of it if i mess around too much with it. Thing is that its chock full of stuff i want to keep.
Question is then: Is there any software that can map out your entire drive and save its folders and files so that you know what was there? Sounds like a practical program regardless, but doubly so when i can just see what was there even after ripping out the disk.
You actually want to copy the whole data from that disk?
Or you just want create a list of the folders and files? if your answer to this one is yes, then: "Where is it" application:
Exactly what i'm looking for, but 40 dollars too expensive. I'd rather make a bunch of screenshots xD
Any free alternatives?
Edit: For some reason catalogue didnt work in the beginning, but i got one made and it worked out. Made a nice clone of the folders and files. Thanks for the epic suggestion.
