From the dawn of creation, The Council has maintained the Balance across existence. Carrying out their orders are The Horsemen, Nephilim (powerful beings spawned from the unnatural union of angels and demons) who have pledged themselves to the Council and been granted immense power. However, this power came at a tragic cost: the Horsemen were ordered to use their newfound strength to wipe out the rest of their kind. What followed was a bloody battle on Eden where the Horsemen, obeying the will of the Council, annihilated the Nephilim. Still reeling from the events on Eden, War and Strife have been given a new assignment—Lucifer, the enigmatic and deceptive demon king, has been plotting to upset the Balance by granting power to master demons throughout Hell. War and Strife must hunt down these masters, gather information, and ultimately fight their way through a tangled, demonic conspiracy that threatens to forever upset the Balance and unravel all of creation. Darksiders: Genesis is an action/adventure that tears its way through hordes of demons, angels, and everything in-between on its way to Hell and back with guns blazing and swords swinging. Genesis gives players their first look at the world of Darksiders before the events of the original game, as well as introduces the horseman Strife.

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
This looks like that disastrous Sacred 3 spinoff that was more a mobile game than a PC one. Was such a great series until the last game destroyed it completely. Hopefully same won't happen to Darksiders.

Darksiders Genesis launches December 5 for PC and Stadia, and for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on February 14, 2020, publisher THQ Nordic and developer Airship Syndicate announced. A release date for the Switch version was not announced.

Just watched it and that was literally the first thing that came to mind and I had to like double-check, to make sure it wasn't actually a Destiny clip ^^
I manage to endure whole 10 minutes before huge boredom kicks in. Shame that so much resources got into this and not into proper successor of Darksiders 2.

Wasn't Darksiders 3 good enough?
And anyone tried this one for co-op? Is it better?

I don't see why you guys are bored so fast. I bought it yesterday too, and played through the first level twice with my SO in the splitscreen coop and found it enjoyable.
Combat is pretty cool and brutal especially for a diablo-like arpg, i can see where they're going with the upgrades, there's a bit of a grind to get the parts to get the upgrades but it's nothing extreme.
Graphics and art look really good as well, i've always had a thing for the darksiders art style and this one ain't any different.
Will play more but in short, it's basically similar to darksiders 1/2 with a top down camera instead.
What i would improve though is the zoom level, as it's a bit high and even on my 65" tv, i still have to squint to see what's going on in split screen.
I guess they just play way too many games so a new game has to be outstanding from the first minute on to get a real chance.
Anyway i liked what i played yesterday combat feels great and has a good flow which is the one thing a game like this has to to do well, apart from that it's top down Darksiders in every aspect so it's not a good idea to go in and expect a Diablo clone because it's not, there is not even any loot from what i saw.
Well, if you don't play too many games, there's better fish in the sea than this.
Genesis is an alright game that could have gone unnoticed if it wasn't Darksiders. It brings nothing new to the table and for a hack & slash is very limited in scope. The combat is nice and fluid but the camera and controls not as much. It doesn't always play well with m&k because the devs didn't put much effort into it.
The progression system is very simplistic and quite grindy for what it provides.
The familiar navigational mechanics are a nice addition, they make Genesis feel like a part of the series even for a spin-off.
They priced it right, which is rare nowadays, and I'm sure this will bring them plenty of sales. I could see a sequel happening starring Death and Fury.
