Story
"What is real is defined by what is not.
Who one is defined by who one isn't."
To move forward, one must accept these truths.
"Yes, in this prison—this cradle—
my dreams and reality became one."
Renowned adventurer Adol “the Red” Christin and his companion Dogi arrive at Balduq, a city annexed by the Romun Empire, only for Adol to be detained before setting foot inside. While imprisoned, he meets a mysterious woman named Aprilis who turns him into a Monstrum, a being with supernatural Gifts and the power to exorcise monsters. Now, Adol must ally with his fellow Monstrum to fend off the fearsome threats emerging from a shadowy dimension called the Grimwald Nox, as well as unravel the mysteries of the Monstrum curse, and the truth behind the unrest within Balduq.
This looks like a PS2 game mixed with Assassin's Creed. I'll pass anyway, I don't like these japanese style games with the screen turning into a feast of flashy blasting effects.
What's with those DLC's tho? Elixir sets? Attachments Bundle? The latter looks like some cosmetics but do they also sell consumables in DLC?
Attachments and costumes are just cosmetics. Elixer set is just a couple of health potions. There's also a potion to level you up once. No weapons, armor, or accessories. The previous games save data accessories are better than all the DLC. There are some saves available to download on rin, and instructions can be found on steam discussions pinned topic.
Nice, how is it compared to 8?
That was my fav of the modern Ys games.
Depends on what you like i guess. I enjoyed the sense of adventure in 8 a lot more, but this one is solid too in its own way. Basically a big city with missions spanning both within it and outside
