Indeed.
Apparently it's completely rebuilt so it's pretty much a new game. Maybe it will be interconnected areas like in dark souls now.

No sign of Bloodborne and as if that wasn't enough they doubled down on the torture with the exclusive Demon's Souls remake. Praise the eclipsed sun

I'm not saying that I don't care about this game, but damn if one of the best launch titles is a remake of a 11 year old game, that tells you something about the state of the industry...

While the graphics, like always in remakes, are much better, they don't seem to care about setting the same mood as in the original. It's way less menacing, bright skies, extremely lit characters (so they can show off graphics details more). Kind of a boring or soulless way to make remakes i think, it would be more interesting to try to improve on setting the mood even more, but no.

Yea I feel the same to some extent, atmosphere is one of the best things in Souls games and this remake definitely loses alot of it, the designs go towards generic Blizzard stuff instead of Souls.

yeah, i actually wrote that too, but removed it because i thought no one would get what i meant with that. It's obviously not as cartoony, but yes, it's leaning towards that more now.
