After using uTorrent for ages I stopped cause they got a bunch of shitty ads all over and it was annoying. So I've been jumping back and forth from Vuze to Deluge but can't quite decide which I like most. So, what torrent client do you guys use?

Still using uTorrent, but I agree... hate the ads and it doesn't seem as light as it used to be.
Its all about the money, money Sad

uTorrent causes BSODs for me, has done for ages, so I've long since switched to qBittorrent.

Tixati has been recommended a few times as well although I also use qBittorent currently, UTorrent is still updated every couple of days in that ongoing 3.4.2 beta but I'm waiting until they've changed the version number before trying it again. Smile

Azureus / Deluge or what it's called now is also often recommended, a bit more system resource heavy because of it using Java but otherwise it's said to be very good.

I'm still using uTorrent because those ads are removable in the advance settings. Seriously, google it.

I'm still running 3.3 of uTorrent, with ads disabled:

http://lifehacker.com/disable-ads-in-utorrent-via-settings-826283231

Though apparently, as of 3.4, they've removed those optional tweaks... But should still be possible to get 3.3 from someplace. Smile In any case, it's not as light-weight as it used to be a couple years ago, but it's only a torrent client, so I don't care that much.

I switched to an older version of utorrent after a new version had bugs and so it couldn't be used on some trackers. Using utorrent v2.2.1 build 25302. I read that's the best old version.

You can disable them in the advanced settings, as of 3.4.1 and newer they should also be much less intrusive if I remember correctly. Smile

I switched to utorrent 2.2.1 build 25302 a few days ago. Had way too many torrents and the newer clients started to show their clunkyness because of it. Also glad I can just use my labels like I used to.

The other one I use is Deluge, love that one. Got to learn and love how to use it when I had a seedbox. So it's still my go to if I need something else than utorrent.

Probably the best build they've had.

Oh stop being so full of yourself. Are you still in your teens?

Sounds the same like those idiots that go: loel windows I use linux. Even though they never even got close to working properly with different clients other than their favourite one.

Utorrent too.
ive tried other in the past, but no real difference to me in the long run. so I just let utorrent install from ninite.com on an install.

In the end, if I click a torrent, minimize it, and a while later I got files on my harddrive..I could care less what client it is.
