im getting the ps3 version, but im hoping they add something to the pc release since its being released in like 5 months. something new im hoping for. if so, ill probably buy it for the pc.
especially if they allow modding and stuff you know?

hopefully they will add something to pc version. If they do add something worth buying, ill buy the pc version aswell.
I dont mind spending money on good games you know?
If they allow modding to be done, i'll buy for that reason alone

SycoShaman if i was you i would link to a *R article when one of the developers said PS3 console is better then the Xbox360 for three things - bigger media with no disc change ever (xbox360 Lost Odyssey its on 4 dvd9 , face it kids the new Elite xbox360 version 2 will have a B-ray drive) , faster better shader processing (Open GL is faster then Direct3D) and that some of the contend is installed on the HDD making games run and load faster , and what did he said about XBox360 he said that future *R games will be ps3 because of MS console two limitations - you must make a game that will have padding data because all xbox360 games stream directly from a dvd and they lost to much time on this that could be made into making this game look/feel better and that all of xbox360 aren't hdd friendly
sure now all will defend the Xbox360 for its paid DLC content that will be XBox exclusive and later added free to the PC version ... but yeah ... not a fan of any console only play games and if you want to spill your heart out or scream at me ... go on ... alienated people

Oh man, I cant be bothered to dig up some article to support what i say. I mean fuck, i dont like judging something by an article as it is. I like first hand experience. Or, if i cant have that, i prefer someone like me, yourself ie reg ppl to give me feedback.
Thats thing, ppl read to much tech shit about this and that and form their opinions based on what others say. in some cases, you need first hand experience. thats why i prefer the ps3, based on my first hand experience.

Dangit that guy cannot mention on what console gta IV looks better, although clearly he has made up his mind.
I am on the verge of making a choice to buy one of the 2 consoles, and I am leaning towards the ps3 mainly because of the crappy red ring of death bullshit the 360 seems to suffer from.
Also blue ray cannot hurt.
Question, to console owners is a hdmi cable included if you buy either of the two consoles ?

They didnt' release Bully on PC though, i really hope they won't follow this trend.. Bully seems like a really cool game. Would be a smart strategy from M$ to stick some money into Rockstar's pocket and tell them it should stay exclusive for consoles, would make more people buy 360's for sure since its such a huge title, especially for us PC gamers..

more than you can imagine. stick around some irc chans sometime, youd be surprised how many people pirate console stuff. theres only one pc vs gba, ds, psp, ps2, wii, 360. and all of these ppl pirate shit for. so in reality, console stuff is pirated more than pc.

I'd have to disagree.
Most people who play PC games are the techy types who have ways and means of obtaining games through dubious methods.
Consoles are more aimed at families so less so.
You'd find many console owners are far less techy and although these days they do have PC's too, most do, they use them just for email and basic browsing / apps and wouldn't have the first clue where to download games.
I'm sure it's far from the case for all, but I'm sure it's the case for many.

Well, not all of us with a PC use it primarily for playing Grand Theft Auto or indeed any other games for that matter (console ports or otherwise) so it's not a big deal. Won't impact upon me. However GTA IV will be released for the PC eventually, they aren't going to draw attention to it right now when it's a console deal breaker and when there is more money to made from console sales.
Oh and piracy is certainly more rampant on the PC, but that doesn't mean anything of itself so it's a moot point.

GTA 4 is the only game ever to come on PC, indeed.
And about console pirating, I don't know single guy with a console that doesn't download games for it.

If Crysis has sold over a million copies, so will GTA4. They're just not ready to announce it yet.
Who wouldn't want another $50 million dollars for a game thats already 70% done before they even start it?
It'll be interesting to see what DLC we get, if any. And how much exclusive console content gets modded to the PC by hardcore fans.
