The long lost AKIRA prototype for Sega Mega Drive has been found and released.

Today I didn't even need to use my AK. I gotta say it was a good day. (c) - Ice Cube

Holy shit Surprised I love when stuff like this happens! \o/ It looks a lot better than the Amiga version too.. though I think I still prefer the Amiga bike segments, the Mega Drive just doesn't do it right.

Why is the animation of opening doors on the small rectangle and not in the full screen area?

I'm guessing to make it more stylish, like an anime/cartoon boxout?

Well, it's definitely more colorful than the amiga version but it's so damn pixelated and something is very wrong with the music routine that can't keep a beat not matter what. It's also a lot slower in the platform areas. It was just not the time to work on and release a big production on the pretty much dead Megadrive by 1995 (and Commodore went under the year before).
