After an unending war with the metastreumonic Force, the powerful organization Secreta Secretorum you belong to is finally ready to undermine the head-strong federation, despite an intense struggle for power.
A dark and mysterious universe (inspired by Blade Runner, Ghost In The Shell and Warhammer 40 000) for hours of original gameplay thanks to 10 physical and psychic skills, 14 cybernetic and upgradable implants, along with an integrated R&D system, all together serving a delicate scenario where conspiracy, horror and treason rule. Based on the RPG "AVA", developed by Streum On Studio in 1998.
Solo and multiplayer (LAN + ONLINE)
FEATURES
* The multiplayer, teamplay, co-op modes directly influence solo play, and vice-versa. The limits of solo and multiplayer games are finally left behind.
* Psychological and mental traumas management.
* 25 weapons, different shooting modes, dynamic precision, drilling shots, iron sighting, extended zoom.
* Complete hacking system with game play impact. 5 devastatingly subtle PSI powers.

* Open-level gameplay for hours of play without reloading.
Holy crap, so is this finally coming out? Last I heard about it was mid 2010 and even then it was still "TBA" since the initial release date of 2009 was delayed.
It certainly looks pretty damned good (I'm sure there was already a thread around as we were discussing this a while back) but DAMN if the Pan-Techno/Puppet-Master class doesn't look horrifically complex ... I mean, how many menus and actions does it require to hack a turret?

It looks super complex at first but he really is just clicking what target to hack then if he wants to spy, hack or destroy and then different commands like Shield, Attack. Rather that than having some idiotic minigame where you have to move your mouse 50 different directions then press z42jkhelgta832ioapsf in a QTE while doing the helicopter.
I think it LOOKS like an idiotic minigame Still, at least it has some complexity, which is always a good thing (unless your name is Derek Smart and you own 3000AD Inc, in which case; FUCK YOU) -- I can't wait to check it out.

Complaining about too long levels and about tons and tons of features and implants...
Translated from French to English with google:
Quote:
The E developers. Y.E. feel they will be able to leave their game on Steam in the first half of February. As they have not found a publisher, they can freely design a demo they hope to release one week before the release of EYE
Before jumping to the ceiling and make your fanboys, we know that have already tried the game two or three times and we have not really hooked: it is likely that there are some players their account and complete the game several times, but our part we have struggled to ignore the design of levels that we felt were too large and devoid of substance, identity. From our brief experience, E.Y.E. focuses more on the background, dialogue and side aspect RPG (there are tons and tons of feature, implants, etc..) on the level design. However, in an FPS solo, we tend to that a good level design is a condition sine qua non to a good game.
You can make your opinion very soon, but do not expect the level of finish and detail of Stalker or New Fallout Vegas, because you might be disappointed.
Some additional details about E.Y.E
The French developers of EYE continue to give a lot of info on forum CanardPC. Bulk:
* Even if they are a output for mid-February, they do not totally exclude a possible delay. Well, it is almost more like this: The first time we saw the game, he was out February 2009.
* The sale price on Steam is expected to be approximately somewhere between 25 and 35 euros. Streum On Studio hopes to sell at least 20,000 to pay off its investment and dream beyond the 100 000 copies sold to embark on a new high stakes With output in the middle of a quarter hyper loaded outputs FPS, it will not be easy ...
* The main quest should last at least between 12 and 20h after the player's skill, and probably much more by doing side quests. And there the coop.
If all goes well, should really Streum On Studio start the promotion in the coming days, with a trailer and videos gameplay.

Unless something was lost in that translation, they didn't complain that the levels were too long. "They were too large and devoid of substance " Those two things go together. You can't take that out of context like you did. If they've got huge levels but nothing interesting to fill them with, it's fucking lame. And they didn't complain about tons of features and implants. They were *telling* you there were tons of features and implants, not saying it was a bad thing. But it seems they spent all their time on these features and not enough time on making levels that don't suck.
And honesty, from the trailers and gameplay videos, that's how it looked to me. I liked some of that complexity the characters seem to have with the inventory, hacking, etc etc etc. But the levels look boring to me. Still, it's got potential. Will have to check it out once it comes out.
Source engine? I got a real source engine feel from the trailer, I hope they do realize that the source engine has its limitations in generic vehicle behaviour. This game doesnt seem like its heavy on scripted events and thats exactly what the source engine emphatizes on vehicle combat. I fear the AI will be complete shat.
Uhm, in the game trailer from 2009, graphically it looks like 2001, with ugly textures, ridiculous animation etc... I think I know why they decided to not release it like that.

Yes, you're right. 4 o'clock in the morning, I wasn't at my best.
Wow that gameplay sucked, they even left some of the sounds from Half Life 2., source is either getting old fast or the devs can't be arsed to do anything with it.

Fuck you troll. Fuck you and your entire aids-infested family. Get cancer and die. Slowly.
It's sad & funny to see how they try to use words to their advantage:
The trailer says "several ways to solve a situation" but actually there's only one way - kill the group of enemies. Different classes =/= several ways.
Today I didn't even need to use my AK. I gotta say it was a good day. (c) - Ice Cube
I definately remember this one. I don't get it, if this looks boring, what the hell is interesting for you guys? Can't wait to try it. I love how the Battle Mage class looks, gives that feeling of Dark Messiah of Sci-Fi Or something .

You gotta remember Call of Duty number 658038 is the epitome of FPS for them.
