Messiah explores the lines among religion, faith and politics. It chronicles the modern world's reaction to a man who first appears in the Middle East creating a groundswell of followers around him claiming he is the Messiah. Is he sent from God or is he a dangerous fraud bent on dismantling the world's geopolitical order? The story unfolds from multiple points of view, including a young CIA agent, an Israeli Shin Bet officer, a Latino preacher and his Texan daughter, a Palestinian refugee and the media, among others
I thought it would be utter crap, but it's really entertaining. I've binged watched it in one day It's like Homeland with some mystery added. I hope it gets renewed coz I'd like to see how it ends.
7.5+/10
PS The outrage (dislikes, petitions to cancel the show etc) coming from religious nutjobs ( Christians and Muslims) is kinda hilarious.
It was alright, I was a bit disappointed with the way it ended though

Saner is not being serious. Unless its the subject of Santa!
I think the ending was OK. I mean it was ambiguous..as in
Spoiler:
it was unclear whether he had some powers or not. They didn't show any proof the two dudes were dead except for the child's words and he could be mistaken.
if it had been renewed then no problem, but leaving it ambiguous when its not been renewed always annoys me.

Awful cinematography with all those out of focus shots.
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"
I enjoyed it quite a bit, even though consolitis is right to point the cinematography out.. the original premise of the series was pretty much enough to keep me interested, even though not everything makes sense and that most characters are living clichés.
But I'm learning here that it hasn't been renewed yet ? Well fuck.
Kind of nice that it's left ambiguous though, the ambiguity is one of the series' strongest points and I think I'd lose interest really fast if we actually knew for sure whether he is legit and has powers or that he's just a delusional nutjob/some kind of next-level terrorist acting for peace.
7/10 for me.

Same here.
I think that they should either
1) not renew it, and leave it as it is now.
2) make one more season and reveal the truth right at the very end
I just can't see this show going for more than 2 seasons. You can't play the "ambiguous" card for X seasons and as you've said once the truth gets revealed it will quickly get boring.
