wOW! This was like my fav horror tv show growing up! Hope its like the classics and based off the comics...I still remember the awesome HBO intro....CryptKeeper!!!

I like it so far. The first I was like wtf @ the cheesiness of the writing and acting but then quickly understood it's just style and hommage.

But it's more laughs than horror so 7/10

Yeah the first was a parody indeed, but it still was way overblown and the acting as a whole was too cliche and not smart enough for its own good, you could see the puppeteers' strings a bit too obviously for my taste.
The second part had a much more interesting premise, something a little more "clever". The child actor was pretty good !

And why doesn't the Creep say anything anymore ? Sad

Overall 6-7/10 for me as well, will probably keep watching it since it's still pretty funny Razz

7/10...Crypt Keeper was a disappointment. Nothing like the original HBO one. Even fucked up his laugh...but they kept with the comic book episodes nicely.. Just brought back the old feel.. Just some messed up story telling. Good watch!

Laughing Damn, I feel dumb now ! Thanks for correcting us, I got the two of them completely mixed up, their tones are fairly similar, aren't they ?

To my defence, I read the Creepshow graphic novel as a kid (and loved it):

.. but I also watched Tales from the Crypt's episodes when I could manage to. My memory mixed the two together, until now Razz

Edit: To add to the confusion, there was a zombie guy narrating in the Creepshow graphic novel - I know I wasn't being completely delusional ! Very Happy

Creepshow s01e01 - 5/10

Pretty bad actually in combination with overused plot lines in both segments. I also prefer Tales from the Crypt. A tip: watch Tales From the Cryp: Demon Knight. It's a really good TftC-inspired full movie with Billy Zane, William Sadler and Will Smiths wife.

Subsequent episodes had some better parts (each episode is two separate stories). Some are cliché and cheap, others are quite good (in that Creepshow/Tales from the Crypt-way).
