I need my cup in the morning but I’m good after that.
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Nope, I rarely drink it. Only rooibos tea. If I drink coffee it's caffeine free as I can't stand caffeine.
PC: Yes. Console: No.

Drink at least 3 times per day... everyday
No milk, no sugar, no hipster bullshit - just a straight black coffee.
1 table spoon of grounded coffee per 390-400 ml of water.
Prepared in Cezve.
Current favorites:
Woseba Brasil 100% Arabica whole beans
Ambassador Blue Label 100% Arabica whole beans
Intenso Venezia 100% Arabica whole beans

I upped my coffee game last year. I drink about 2 cups per day, brewed in an AeroPress. Nice little cheap device and useful for single servings, and good if you're like me as the only one in the household that drinks coffee.
I pair that with a burr grinder and freshly roasted whole bean coffee from local roasters. This is also how I started drinking black coffee, so no sugar/milk. Made me realize the mainstream coffee is just kinda...bad, cause that was undrinkable black.

I drink around 4 cups, less than before. I try to drink even less since i nowadays use a beta blocker (racing heart at night) and it can remove its effect to some degree.
I mainly use an Aeropress or i use my Bialetti moka pots. I prefer espresso though, the Bialetti brikka does a nice one with crema.. Looking at the list i was sure Sweden was on top, i don't know of anyone here who doesn't drink coffee, it's the first thing you do if someone comes over for a visit. Fika (cake break) / coffee it's very deeply rooted in our culture.

Caffe latte in the morning (homemade using a ghetto Moka pot) and classic espresso after lunch, that's how I usually roll. Almost never drink coffee in the evening since my vampiric habits don't need any extra help

I thought I was the only weirdo that drank ice tea on here (seem most people I talk to think big jugs of ice tea is a crime against tea). Thats 90% of what I drink. Make a gallon at a time.

Flat white in the morning prepared by myself ( manual espresso machine, where I also grind my own beans ). If I feel the need, I have, normal, americano in the afternoon, brewed in a filter machine ( normal coffee machine ).

for the longest time i pretty much only drank ice tea.
My favorite ice tea stopped existing after a big company got bought or something and allegedly they lost the right to that product or something.
Since then I realized that tap water plus citrus-extract (?) and artificial sweetener is neat and means I have to buy much less in terms of volume and weight for the same amount of drink. Very convenient.

Usually just drink 1 Large morning when I get to work or recently started to do 12pm during lunch.
But every so often I like to do month without any coffee at all.
Anyone uses oatmilk instead of regular one? I can't drink coffee with regular milk anymore. Think I became slightly lactose? Had a lot of stomach problems but ever since I switched to oatmilk and cut off yellow cheese but stomach problems went away.

Not sure how accurate this is or what kind of tea he's referring to (it's obviously about excessive amounts though):
https://healthcare.utah.edu/healthfeed/postings/2015/04/042315_cvarticle-iced-tea-kidney.php
Quote: | Why iced tea is bad for you?
“Iced tea is full of oxalic acid, which, when taken in excess, deposits in your kidneys and mucks up the work of removing waste from the blood,” says Scott Youngquist, MD, an emergency physician at University of Utah Health.
...
Drinking tea is good for your health. It may lower the risk of cancer, it can encourage weight loss, and recent studies have shown tea can help lower blood pressure.
But one Arkansas man discovered there can be too much of a good thing.
In May 2014, a 56-year-old man arrived at Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System, complaining of weakness, fatigue and body aches. Doctors discovered that his kidneys were failing. He was placed on dialysis. After questioning the patient, they learned that he drank 16 8-ounce glasses of iced tea daily, which is about 1 gallon. |
1 gallon is 3.785 liters!!!!
I think drinking nearly 4 liters of anything every single day is bad for you; even acute water intoxication if an excessive amount is drunk within a relatively short period of time since the body and kidneys can't process it fast enough. The most notable case happnened during a live radio broadcast holding a contest where contestants had to drink as much water as possible withing a certain period of time. A woman drank ~2 gallons of water in little over 3 hours in order to win a Nintendo Wii during the contest called "Hold Your Wee for a Wii".
Quote: | At the time of the incident, Laura Rios, one of Strange's co-workers at Radiological Associates of Sacramento said Strange "said to one of our supervisors that she was on her way home and her head was hurting her real bad... She was crying and that was the last that anyone had heard from her." |
Anyway, back to topic: I drink tea occasionally (earl gray, green tea, green tea with mint).. less so after my electric kettle/water boiler broke.
