Well, the news today are that Jon Spaihts, who co-wrote the new film and was going to showrun the series, will no longer do that after Legendary TV were dissatisfied with his early drafts. Instead, he will work on the script of the sequel (should it be made).

technically it looks very good very sci fi much like the foundation but kinda boring too much exposition i dont like any character, maybe it needed a 2 ep premiere
I found first episode pretty boring especially the parts in the sisterhood. Dunno why the Bene Gesserit acolytes are all fugly while they are potential concubines and wives.
