Larian Studios and Logic Artists (Expeditions series) has announced Divinity: Fallen Heroes, a new tactical game with RPG elements set in the universe of Divinity: Original Sin II. It will be released for “multiple platforms” in 2019.
Divinity: Fallen Heroes is a new tactical game oozing with RPG elements, set in the universe of critically acclaimed RPG Divinity: Original Sin II. Command The Lady Vengeance, and lead its crew through over 60 hand-crafted missions where your actions and choices define the story.
Fallen Heroes marries rich tactical gameplay with RPG choices and consequences, and introduces a wealth of new features and mechanics to the Divinity: Original Sin II engine. Delve deeper than ever-before into the rich, fantasy world of Rivellon as you command your troops aboard the Lady Vengeance. Explore new lands and wield new weapons and skills. Build your squad and vanquish never-before seen corners of Rivellon. Divinity: Fallen Heroes features two player cooperative play as well as a single player mode.
With the fate of the races in your hands, it’s up to you to lead the Lizards, Elves, Dwarves, Undead, Demons and Humans. Recruit hero and veteran units and dispatch squads armed with both magic and steel. Each decision will have to be carefully weighed as your leadership will be tested and your choices judged.
Key Features
Recruit troops, research new gear, and level up heroes aboard The Lady Vengeance.
Gunpower comes to Divinity. Lock’n’load with an arsenal of guns and rifles, but don’t forget to use swords and sorcery when necessary.
Interactive elements bring a new twist to the tactics genre. Toy with Oil, Fire, Ice, Water and Poison elements, joined also by the new Sulfurium element.
Play in either single player or coop, with tactical combat featuring simultaneous turns!

I'm happy Larian is making great games and doing well, but this is even farther away from what I want in their universe. I just want a sequel to Ego Draconis / The Dragon Knight Saga.

Likewise
I loved both Original Sin and the sequel (although I had to pause that one with the idea of starting it again with the Definitive Edition one day), but the inner adventurous spirit is craving for third-person explorative and humorous Larian goodness. And dragons!

Same here.
I'm happy if they just keep releasing divinity games.
The only thing I ask is for things to get bigger and better as they go along.
