Because its a MMORPG! Even if there are private servers around its still a useless release since many private servers wont update to this version, rather they update to custom patches...
I know usually MMORPG don't get released but this one have been..
to your information, nearly all private servers ask to be updated to the latest version first THEN add some custom file. I know not all features are emulated but the AOS (last expantion) support is now pretty well done... this version add nothing more to the game than the "already patched" thing.. (well the real box version give you lots of cd-keys and items on the official server but we don't care)
