Y: The Last Man is a post-apocalyptic science fiction comic book series by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra published by Vertigo from 2002 through 2008. The series centers on Yorick Brown and his pet Capuchin monkey Ampersand, the only males who survived the apparent global androcide. The series was published in sixty issues by Vertigo and collected in a series of ten paperback volumes (and later a series of five hardcover "Deluxe" volumes). The series' covers were primarily by J. G. Jones and Massimo Carnevale. The series received three Eisner Awards. A television series adaptation is in production.

Y: The Last Man is an upcoming American drama television series starring Diane Lane, Ben Schnetzer, Olivia Thirlby and Ashley Romans that is set to premiere on September 13, 2021 on FX on Hulu.[1][2] It is based on the comic book series Y: The Last Man by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra. Eliza Clark serves as showrunner after Michael Green and Aida Mashaka Croal exited the project.[3]
The comic was fucking good (as almost everything from Vaughan) I hope this series will do it justice.
After the first episode, my thoughts are: Protagonist is an emo self centered talentless man-boy cunt, so that's probably gonna play well with dem TikTokTard 13-year olds and their momz.
Furthermore it's a mess that tries to cramp way too much into one episode, frantically jumping from one place to the other, probably because of the average attention span of said 13-year olds.
Then again I just read the plot summary for the whole series, and that really is a fårkin' mess.
Probably gonna give it one more chance before shift+del

Well Yorick in comic book was kind-a a bit of a manchild. And was a little bit of an idiot in his quest. But the characters were well written in it.
Just watched half an hour of the tv series and it seems to be more of a "womens' world now! you prick". Shame that Olivia Trilby plays the cunt.
Two first eps didn't grab me, not really invested in any of the chars.
Planned to watch the 3'rd as a last chance, but having a hard time mustering enough interest atm.
I got a theory - It does indeed seem the only reason Yorrick survived, is because he's really a she. I mean it would probably be impossible to find a bigger cunt bitch anywhere in that universe.
And considering most of the other characters, that's saying a lot.

There is a trans guy in the series apparently who survive because he was a she.
