Battalion 1944 recaptures the core of classic multiplayer shooters and propels WW2 into the next generation of gaming. Battalion 1944 utilizes the most advanced industry technology to create a visceral and heart-thumping multiplayer experience that has been crafted by the designers who have grown up playing Medal of Honor and Call of Duty 2.

Game mode variety. Battalion emphasizes balance in classic game modes such as Capture the Flag, deathmatch, and domination. We'll also be bringing new game modes that we're in the process of testing. We will also be turning to the community for any requests, suggestions or ideas for game modes.
Tight, focused, competitive maps. Battalion's maps will be designed around our team based infantry combat. The map locations are inspired by real world battlegrounds of the allied campaign and blended with competitive layouts of classic shooters that focus on balance and competition.
Looks okay.
But personally i hate those kind of realistic shooters, like Red Orchestra 2 or Rising Storm. I can't stand getting killed in 1 or 2 shots by some camper.
Bye.

Would prefer Battlefield or Enemy Territory type of gameplay

Nope, I love those, I stop playing call of duty when they start that modern shit, RO2 is the game that has the old feeling of WWI and II.

Taunts (4)
v41 = Is that all you've got?
v42 = I think that they are all out of real men!
v43 = Go on and run, you yellow-bellies!
v44 = They're a bunch of cowards!
v45 = Come back when you've had target practice!
v46 = Come prepared next time!
v47 = Try again!
v48 = I've seen French school girls shoot better!
v49 = That made a mess.
Team taunts (5)
v51 = He's going to get us killed!
v52 = A lot of good men are going to die because of his poor leadership.
v53 = Good riddance!
v54 = That guy is going to get us all killed!
v55 = Hey buddy, get down!
v56 = Stay out of my foxhole, pal!
v57 = Find your own hiding place!
v58 = Get out of my way!
god I think I wore out : "try again" and "I've seen french shool girls shoot better"
£100,000 in under 3 days! We did it. Battalion 1944 is now confirmed to be fully in development for Steam, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, bringing World War 2 into the next generation of video games! THANK YOU!
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
Looks like Day of Defeat, had a lot of fun with this game many years ago, especially when the "Source" version was released.
For me - Source engine killed the game. I couldn't stand floating of the character.
Anyways... 6v6? What kind of sad joke it is? It is not moba ffs to have 6v6...
Anyways

Competition is at the heart of Battalion, maps are designed with different game modes and server sizes in mind. Whether you like to run and gun in a Deathmatch arena with 16 players, or rifle it out in a robust competitive layout with smaller and more focused team sizes, all playstyles can and will be catered for. We’ll even enable players to admin their own servers and play with their own rule sets, allowing you to add all the mayhem or restrictions that you want.
8vs8 seems to be possible and even more with own server. But I doubt that map size will be okish for more players...

Hey dont be so hard the little console eunuchs, they need time to aim their lil vibratin thumbstick.
Guess they had to burn through the last of that Kickstarter money from two years ago (they raised 3x their goal apparently) to justify being able to milk early-access for who knows how long - what better way to do that then licensing some shitty song?
This fucking dance is getting awfully tiring as of late...

Though it's not as though there are standards for that sort of thing anymore. Everything is what the marketing hype says it is, after all.
