Jailbreak it.. I am using UHB currently (tweak). and no, dont ever buy Android ,. unless you enjoy a shit OS experience.

dude i aint doing crazy shit on my dads ipad lol , the dude spends all day on it, i just cant share stuff with him cause them bloody apps just fucking it up.
ill check adguard, but for what browser is it, i dont know anything about ios , just that is has no clue how to deal with adds on them movie streaming sites opening new browser pages all over the place like its 1995 again

My father owns a derpad as well, though it's the first version/generation and both its Safari and OS apparently are too obsolete to support any form of external adblocking. The browser would also freeze on a regular basis which was driving him insane. I have absolutely no clue either about...anything i-related really so I just ended up installing Chrome instead from the app store, thus far he seems to be happy about it

I've solved my adblocking issue with OpenVPN connection to my pfSense which runs pfBlockerNG. No ads no matter which iOS app you try to use.
