We all know it makes sense this game will be remade, but so far nothing official has been said.

Based on that ("not what you expect", and potentially outsourced to other (western?) developers) I expect some sort of open world-ish zombie game set in streets of Raccoon. I hope it's still good, but RE3 is my favorite in the series so I was hoping for something more authentic to the original.
Anyway. We shall see.

It's hinted it has been in production for a while, i.e. while RE2make was still in production, so by necessity someone else would need to be making it. This is not surprising (RE2make and RE7 are also made by different teams for the same reason, they were in development concurrently), what's surprising is that it's not Capcom at all that is making it.

There's the concern that the game is co-op since it features Carlos in the cover too. Although even that could work (i.e. if not forced, etc.), but it could also screw up everything.
We'll see. Maybe Carlos is given his own campaign, and it could be more action-y than Jill's (see handgun vs rifle).

Doubt it's coop they only ever tried that with 5 and it was not very popular, they are probably just expanding the game since RE3 was always a bit bare bones compared to 2 and giving it a second protagonist/route since that's what ppl expect after RE2 remake.

This game most assuredly isn't made by RE2make team (games aren't being made in just a few months, this was most definitely in development side by side with 2, which means a different team was making it, same as a different team made RE7, which was also side by side with RE2make at some point), so even the quality of RE2 doesn't guarantee anything.
If it looks good, I will be more than happy to preorder like I did with RE2make.

Carlos redesign is very generic and a far cry from what he used to be. Looks like Miguel from Tekken, Gabriel Belmont from Castlevania: LoS and that generic guy from FFXIV: Stormbringers. Jill has a hairstyle like Kristen Stewart.
Capcom just loves changing the faces every chance they get with all their damn games.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

I'm starting to hate RE3 more and more.
Typical Capcom does the SAME thing with RE series all over again - first you make something good (RE1-3), then it all starts downhill for money printing (4-6).
Will history repeat himself? RE7-2RE were great, 3 will be meh and the next ones will be cash-grabbing trash?

RE3 is the game that started the action trend and not RE4. It was much shorter than the previous games and had a lot more action crammed into it.
1 and 2 are still amazing. |

I'm only talking about the action and spoke about it being shorter in comparison to part 1 and 2. Other than the action, not co-relating the length to the games that come after it. I think RE3 might be one of the shortest numbered game in the series.
