|
 |
That means like, extracting a playlist with all it's title/CD Cover/ID3 etc into a folder in MP3 format, like making a backup of the iPod (classic in my case) itself without any encryptions.
I've got dozens of playlists, that's why, and re-finding songs and organizing 'em ain't my thing ^^;;;;;;

look for sharepod (the older version, the new ones are disgusting and iirc not free), worked always fine for my ipod nano back in the days. should work fine with the classic as well
i think 3.9.9 was the last free version and has no bloatware and whatever

cause everything starting with 4.x was not free anymore and overloaded with crap
as i said 3.9.9 was the last free version of it, should be easy to find
and it works fine as portable, without installation needed. if you cant find it, report back. i think i have it somewhere backupped with all other utilities from the last 25 years

I'm trying 3.9.9 but it's not doing what i am wanting it to do... If you Copy Playlist to the PC all it does is do it in an alphabetical order, NOT in the same order that's shown in the Playlist itself...

Because the only thing it can do is simply extract the songs. What it doesn't do is extract each playlist and make a folder for each playlist and the contents in order (The "Track Number")
For example, if i extract Apollo Justice's OST, there's no option that'll make a folder of the playlist and within that the songs in order... It just copies the songs and the order goes crazy...

dont know where my nano is, so i cant test that. but maybe itunes does set a track number which gets exported within the id3 tag too? if thats the case you could use tagscanner to rename the files with the number at the start so you get the old order
