Keeping the humour fresh throughout a series is difficult but Waititi and Clement surely don't lack imagination, let's hope for the best Very Happy

(I found Wellington Paranormal amusing too even though it suffered a bit from the restricted scope).

So far so good, both the atmosphere and type of humour are very close to the original movie. Everything is new..yet it still feels familiar in its own cozy awkward way. The new cast is solid, Nandor The Relentless especially cracks me up Laughing

It feels substantially weaker than the movie for me - primarily due to the casting choices. Why wasn't the original cast used? That's what made the film work is that they meshed so well. It's cool seeing Matt Berry and all, but none of them really fit together, especially that new energy vampire guy (though I guess that's kind of his shtick).

Hoping it gets better.

I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

I'm glad it's been renewed, I'm genuinely loving the show. It's exactly how I hoped it to be, some sort of natural extension of the movie which maintains most of its unique traits without bastardizing them. *BAT!* Very Happy

S01E07 was weak, but the original trio had a few scenes (as well as some other well known actors!) Still think THEY should have been cast as the main characters (with Matt Berry as Guillermo!) Very Happy

Oh it gets better.
But it's bound to run out of steam like many Matt berry shows. He gives his best until it gets to his head and then goes over the top to top his comedy style.

I'd love for it to continue and get more creative, but once it'll lose steam it'll be a sharp fall.

Finished S2. About the same quality as S1. Very few celeb cameos, and to be honest, only Hamill left any lasting impression on that front. But that's hardly surprising, if they let Mark ham it up, he hams it the fuck up. Very Happy

Wonder where they'll take Guillermo from here, I kinda suspect his dreams of becoming a vampire is kinda dead at this point. Razz
