In RemiLore, players utilize intuitive twin-stick controls to battle fearsome enemies and engage in epic boss battles. The adventure begins when an ordinary schoolgirl named Remi awakens Lore, a supreme magic book. Together, fate takes them both to the magical world of Ragnoah, which has been overtaken by fierce mecha-monsters. Remi and Lore must venture together in a quest to find their way home, but can Remi really trust the mischievous magic book Lore?
emiLore is a “rogue-lite” anime-style adventure set in a colorful world where players hack and slash their enemies and cast devastating magic attacks using twin stick controls!
Remi, an ordinary high school student, has awakened Lore, a talking book who is a self-proclaimed “master” of magic. Together, they are drawn into the magical world of Ragnoah, which has been overtaken by mecha-monsters. Remi and Lore must venture together and find their way home, but can Remi really trust the mischievous magic book Lore? Who is the mysterious android girl “Choux” and why does she want to capture Lore? Will Remi ever find her way out of the magical world and return home?

Hey hey, if you played the game you'd know that old hag could transfer in a hot chick
But yeah, I was also disappointed. Lands of Lore 1 was brilliant and while LOL2 got stuck in development hell, it wasn't a bad game either - just very easy to get stuck because you couldn't find some obscure item.
