So I finally came around and decided to upgrade. Here is what I got and I have a question too.
Case:
Fractal Design Define R6 Gunmetal
PSU:
850 Watt Corsair HXi Series HX850i Modular 80+ Platinum
CPU:
Intel Core i9 9900K 8x 3.60GHz (B 4,7GHz/5Ghz) So.1151 WOF
RAM:
32GB Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR4-3200 DIMM CL16 Dual Kit
Cooling:
Corsair Hydro Series H150i Pro RGB
MB:
Asus ROG MAXIMUS XI HERO S1151v2 Z390/DDR4/ATX
SSD (Storage):
1x 500GB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe 3.0 x4 32Gb/s 3D-NAND TLC (MZ-V7E500BW),
1x 500GB Samsung 860 Evo 2.5" (6.4cm) SATA 6Gb/s 3D-NAND TLC (MZ-76E500B/EU)
1x 500GB Samsung 850 Evo 2.5" (6.4cm) SATA 6Gb/s TLC Toggle (MZ-75E500B/EU) (From old system)
No HDDs internally
Ofc there is a missing GPU. I'm just lacking the money for a graphics card right now. I'm obviously planning to change that over the course of 2019 (hoping changes in prices and what AMD will have to offer and how it will affect the market).
So I'm stuck with my old GTX970 for a while. I'm perfectly aware that it will bottleneck the shit out of the CPU but my question is by how much?
I'm also still on a 60hz 1080p display for the time being too.
Will I have problems running stuff at 60hz 1080p or will there be issues due to the bottleneck?! (Stuff like stutters.. idk, weird shit!)
I got experience with CPU's bottlenecking the GPU but not the other way around.
Thanks in advance.

GPU bottleneck is the most straight forward observable one in games. To put it as simple as possible they will all run, roughly the same as they did before for you.
Load times will be faster, and less 'hitches' and pop ins and such. But FPS will be within 5-10% or so of before.
For example, I think it was jaystwocents. Compared a i5 2500 and i9 9900k with same GPU, not much a difference once in game. the 9900k of course has consistant higher framerates, but not much more than if you just overclocked the GPU on the i5.
OF course your mileage may vary, but GPU is by far the biggest factor in games.

Oh. Well that's totally fine and what I was hoping for. I just didn't know if it would cause other issues. Nameley even more stutters or anything than it was before. As long as it's same old, same old, that's fine.
Thanks.

No no, you will be fine. 970 is still a damn fine card for 1080p as long as you arent slamming every slider you can find ingame to max.
just didnt want you feeling let down you got all that hardware and went "shit, I went from 70fps, to 77fps average."
