I'm searching for a game for which I forgot what the title was.
I think it starts with E.
It's a voxel based game with an art style much like Little Big Adventure.
When I say voxel, what I mean is prerendered backgrounds and moving characters in the foreground and the voxels where "elipse or circle" shaped.
It kinda reminds me Alone in the Dark, but without Polygons (maybe pseudo-polygons, like Ballz on Genesis+SNES).
The main hero had red-ish outfit like a knight, but with no armor, wielding a sword for the most part.
It was very stylistic and memorable at the time, although I'm not sure whether it was a great commercial success.
It's definetely not super modern Commance 4 like voxels, so don't focus on that voxel part the wrong way.
Any suggestions what I am thinking about??
"There will be no end to the troubles of humanity, until philosophers become kings, or kings become philosophers.", Plato.
"Hyperbole will destroy us all.", Matt Dillahunty.
"The hyperbole, the demonization of the other opinion and the unwillingness to even read the opposing opinion destroys the so important political discussions necessary for the well functioning of society.", Couleur

Ecstatica really was/is an amazing game for its time. I remember much frustration but also a great sense of acheivement and some really funny moments with this game.
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

unique memories of this one, couldn't work out what to do in the game at all, struggled massively with the weird camera perspectives and horrible combat (not sure if i was able to kill anything), just didn't get anywhere on the game. but i certainly remember it with awe because of the graphics, animation and theme.
didn't know they actually made a second one (or i forgot).

I never really had a problem with the cameras in these games. but i played them all so i probably got used to it. there was also the blair witch games which looked similar, but i think they came later.
if i recall correctly the combat in this game was just awful.
Eternal Darkness was another one.
