I remember watching this around the time of Beverly Hills 90210 in 1990-1991 as a 10 year old. Had a big crush on Erika Eleniak too (well her and Jennie Garth). Never was a fan of Pamela Anderson, though. Frankly, I only watched the series for a season, thought it was pretty lame and the only redeeming feature was the bikini girls. BH 90210 at least had some decent story lines - lots of "drugs are bad mmkay" nonsense but it was entertaining.
I would legit watch a Baywatch remake TV show if it starred the same people as the movie that came out a year or so ago and was in the same tone. It was stupid as fuck and I have no idea why I liked it but I did. Also, fucking hot babes... Come to think of it, that's likely why.
All the female lifeguards' revealing swimsuits were underlining a clear aura of 90s-like sexism though that comes across as objectifying and obsolete, it should not belong to the TV environment.
