Well more and more fighting games are released on Steam, so I think it's inevitable for a Tekken game to arrive as well.. sooooooome day in the future that is. Just a matter of time.

Fighting games should be played ass-to-ass with friends, that's why I can't imagine myself actually buying one for the computah. Of course there's controllers et cetera et cetera but it's not the same.
Although:
Emulator + Tekken 3 = mucho fun

I don`t see how it is not the same i have a PC hooked up to my TV and play a lot of games these days with a controller, steam big picture mode is great for that, the next gen consoles are also just PCs now.

The consoles in general are something you just "slam on" without having to think about it too much. It's true most of us hardly ever turn off their computers but there's a little bit more hassle involved in that. The more consoles approach PC gaming the more this line blurs.
If you take time to read my comment again you'll find out that I was speaking on my behalf. I can't imagine MYSELF buying one. And I have to emphasize buying.

Who decided to play fighting games online on PC is insane fucker. There are TONS of assholes who play with 1337 kbds that have macro buttons and just set the best and badass combos to 1-2-3-4-5 macro keys and when the match starts they just watch movie after pressing 1 button. What a faggots.

The fuck did i just read.
Anyways, from my knowledge the best players in the Super Street Fighter IV leader boards are people that play legit. Just because you macro a great combo doesn't make you good at the game. You still won't know which combo to use in which situation resulting in the combos not landing - usually also because you will play predictably if you are not very good at the game.
That being one point the other would be that there is more than combos to fighting games.
Besides, who said you can't macro on consoles. Plenty of controller setups out there or instructions to make one yourself that can do all kinds of crazy shit. That and people that just use hacks, even on consoles.
It's the same shit on PC as it is on consoles. With every fighting game. Just that less people play it on PC, though that difference is apparently decreasing.

its called juggling |
Juggling used to be a by-product of perfectly connected hits. That was until Tekken 6 came out. The juggling system it introduced was so annoying I literally stopped playing online. It rewards cheap predetermined juggle loops and the characters bounce like freaking balloons. Never again.

Since it's an in-house thing, maybe Namco could finally finance a proper PC port? Both Dark Souls and the Naruto game have some stupid issues, both in part of fully published by Namco.
How was the Ace Combat Assault Horizon port? I didn't try the PC version of it but that IS a Namco project like Tekken.
Btw Harada is crazy on twitter, you never know. That "considering" could easily mean it's already in motion. He was pulling the same shit when people were asking him about making Unknown playable in Tag 2, saying there are "memory issues" but he's "considering it" and "maybe in the future", "it's hard". Those messages were around gold status and she's deeply written into the godawful date-check for unlocking they planned long ago and let's not even start on all accompanying data which required just as much time as any other character...I brought the first ingame pictures of all post-release dlc chars when the game got released so their reveal plan kind of got fucked including a potential "oh we listened and worked hard last week so here's your Unknown even though she's always been there and we're unlocking her with a server-sided date check ha ha". At least they didn't charge money for those on-disc characters. It's still absolutely crazy they time-locked them though, together with the decal editor. xD
They said they wanted to keep it fresh by adding new fighters and features over time which is fine, but what's the logic behind locking existing content just to call it "new" in a month lol
tl;dr

http://www.kdramastars.com/articles/29351/20140718/tekken-7-pc-confirmed.htm
Quote: | Taka Kawasaki, studio head at Epic Games Japan, recently discussed excitement for "Tekken 7" in a press release on Monday. Kawasaki said that the partnership between Bandai Namco and Epic Games is perfect for the next game because it will lead to great results and then he confirmed that Tekken 7 PC version will happen.
Taka Kawasaki said in an interview that Tekken 7 would come with greatly improved visuals which can only be done on the PS4, Xbox One and PC. He even singled out the Tekken 7 PC version because that was the lead platform during development. |
