Quote:
Gargoyles Remastered will feature “enhanced visuals, animations, and SFX” inspired by the classic animated Disney series. The game will also feature modern amenities, such as achievements, widescreen display, and the ability to rewind your gameplay. You’ll also be able to toggle seamlessly between the remastered graphics and the 16-bit originals. The soundtrack composed by Michael Giacchino and Patrick J. Collins has also been remastered.

Released in November 1995 for the Sega Genesis (a Super Nintendo version was planned but ultimately cancelled), Gargoyles loosely followed the plot of the show. The game sees Goliath on a mission to destroy the Eye of Odin, a magical talisman which can transform whomever possesses it. Meanwhile, Demona, the most recent owner of the Eye, seeks to foil Goliath.

There are so many platformers these days (mostly from indies but still very good) that I don't see a reason to "remaster" this without making it a 3rd person game. But there are enough 40+ whales who will gladly overpay for that "youth nostalgia" so it's got to be cheap money-making.

No, the original looks great and the remake looks like some garbage you'd find on newgrounds.com
