*Eats the dessert alone*
This was one of those 'great on paper' concepts that had the potential to be truly engrossing and mind-bending, but the final result for me wasn't as positive as expected. I was genuinely invested in the story - despite the repeating tasks required to unlock more dialogues/scenes and the limited gameplay elements (it's practically an interactive movie, in terms of length too) ...until the twists.
Alas, the whole thing rapidly went from intriguing to overdramatic with its absurd resolutions and behaviours, it almost seemed like it was coming from Dave Cage's time loop.

Finished it in one sitting yesterday, it's not very long if you played adventures before.
Spoiler: | lol at the twist at the end wtf was that. Also Willem Dafoe speaking the cop and the Father makes it needlessly confusing it was a terrible idea to have Dafoe voice two characters |

The game mechanics aren't very good and the trial and error aspect got pretty annoying after a couple of hours. But overall an interesting experience.

Spoiler: | The cop doesn't exist, he is being hypnotized by his father and that's why the cop and his father are both voiced by Dafoe. But you need to uncover the good ending to understand exactly what is happening. |

Finished it in 1 setting too but had to use a guide to continue, otherwise...(Read below, fully spoilered!!)
Spoiler: | You'd be stuck where you need to click on the window by the right side of the main room to tell the wife that a lightning whatsoever would strike, then grab the knife, enter THEN CLOSE THE BATHROOM DOOR so she doesn't "see you" getting the pocket watch nor anything else
And also to prepare the light switch to electrocute the "cop" etc.. And to progress on you need to check the cop's phone messages AND CLICK ON THE PHONE NUMBER FROM "Bumblebee" TO REGISTER IT TO USE IT IN THE NEXT LOOP WITH THE WIFE'S PHONE
And the whole nanny name requiring you to get the baby clothes WITH THE NAME and having to eat a few minutes of UNSKIPPABLE CONVERSATIONS to reach the SPECIFIC LINE to show it off..
And then the silence by the end. Who would've tought about that, along the red book (Oh, you must interact with HER BOOK BEFORE to reply to the dad about that later in the mysterious room)
C'mon, the whole loop lore thing is silly. How did his father developed such a device?...It's unexplained and the MC is clueless too, only the wife wife wife...
Atleast the good thing you can do for stress release is to grab the "cop" 's gun and shoot him in the head then leave the door to reset he loop |
If only the game gave ya some clues more times to try to progress on (Only the last moments there's a mention of "how do i do this?" but meh) this'd be an interesting one. People says 8h?..20h for everything?..Good thing there was skippable texts (but again some other texts could be skippable like the close to the ending parts
7/10

Finished it as well, in the span of 2 and a half hours, got the I guess best(?) ending.
The trailers were showing a lot of promise, but the game didn't really deliver.
Also the twist was incredibly predictable and it seemed a little bit out of place, the could've taken the story in another, more interesting direction.

very interesting concept, but with some big flaws that takes away the immersion. on paper it makes sense to know some stuff and how it happens but having to sit many times throught the same dialogues and repeat some things does not translate very well

If you want a good loop game, try The Sexy Brutale.

The game is highly intriguing in the beginning, but the main flaw is that overtime and as you uncover more mysteries, it's becoming more tiring.
Nevertheless, it's been a fun experience overall.

Sin317-"im 31 years old and still surprised at how much shit comes out of my ass actually ..."
SteamDRM-"Call of Duty is the symbol of the true perfection in every aspect. Call of Duty games are like Mozart's/Beethoven's symphonies"
