Another 'tarded thing in US, they give a rat's ass about environment, but they're the ones to yell the loudest for compensations when they caught VW cheating.

why is diesel better (except for fuel econ)?
to be honest I only drove one diesel car and it was ok, maybe more suited for city driving as it felt slower on the road.

Diesels have more torque. I prefer driving petrols though.

Diesels take twice the time to reach optimum temperature, weight more and have higher CO2 emissions ( not if you are VAG ).
The only advantage is fuel economy over long distances.

http://www.reuters.com/article/us-volkswagen-emissions-idUSKBN13A1VE
Quote: | Volkswagen AG (VOWG_p.DE) has reached an agreement with U.S. regulators for a mix of buybacks and fixes for 80,000 polluting Audi, Porsche and VW 3.0-liter vehicles, two sources briefed on the matter said Tuesday.
The agreement includes a buyback offer for about 20,000 older Audi and VW SUVs and a software fix for 60,000 newer Porsche, Audi and VW cars and SUVs, the sources said. A separate, more complex fix is expected to be offered for the older vehicles.

I smell a bottomless money pit for VAG in 2017...
As for Honda, not too keen on their latest design language, it shouts: "look at me, i'm trying!"

Yes, am not a fan of it either.

Cut a couple of new vents here and there and slap a gigantic diffuser on the back (Ford-style) and you've got yourself a brand new GTE! Genious!
Ok, I've only now noticed it's mid-engined, which explains how they found enough room for that diffuser. Have they finally ditched the traditional rear-engine layout in their 911s?
... Aaaand a radar to detect other (mainly much faster LMPs) cars. Aand a new engine. Neat.
But is it actually faster than the previous model? And, more importantly, is it at least as fast as the Ferrari and Fords?
