The newest driver June 5/18. When you custom install it won't let you deselect Nvidia experience? I had to uninstall that after. I don't want that hovering around in the background. It use to let you deselect it before install? Anyone else get that?

unpack the driver with winrar or whatever and delete every file and folder except for those on the picture. after that run the setup.exe and you are ready to go.

Or copy this batch file to extracted folder, run, and it will leave you this:

NVRemove

yes but MSVCRT is missing then which may be needed for the installation and also HDAudio which a lot of people use for sound on the TV for example.
also if you unpack the files it's probably faster to delete those files and folders right away instead of copying a batch file in the folder and run it.

but of course this should work too (if you don't need MSVCRT and HDAudio)

Nah. You never really get rid of that shit, unless one does a full OS reinstall. Best not to pollute it in the first place Wink

yes there is still other stuff installed in the back then which you can't uninstall. (it will only get removed if you completly uninstall those drivers and reinstall them from scratch)

Yeah GFE and changes to that, you can edit a XML to remove it as a requirement.

EDIT: Think that's how it worked at least, some installer xml file and you have to remove a section from it.
