As long as it doesn't have that idiot Nero and takes place after DMC 2 chronologically. I personally preferred DmC over DMC4 but wouldn't mind a return to the original series provided they forget part 4.

Seems like the leak was pretty accurate then. Playable Dante, Trish, Lady, Vergil and Nero. As expected DMC4 SE was the test bed for DMC 5. Just like SF4 Omega mode was for SFV.
I'm not sure having 5 playable characters would allow them the time they need to make the rest of the game though.
I'd have preffered a Dante Only game... Sure, variety's good, but too many unfitting gameplay styles or simply gambling whatever

Don't really feel anything after watching that trailer.
The whole gritty setup they have going at the start where it seems like the game takes itself too seriously doesn't really work well with the hee haw wacky bits towards the middle.
Cringe dorky fugly redneck gf + emo nero looking like DMC dante + Dante looking like a fucking grandpa (AC/DC fanshirt wearing metal garndpa like design) + at least in the trailer themosnter and the enviroments didnt blend in that well....
- Full development started right after DMC4SE.
- Team set goal for 4K/60 and as much realistic presentation as possible without being too uncanny.
- Facial and costume scanning
- Everything is rendered in real-time, no CG footage
- Team wanted to reveal it last year, but they decided to do it so along with RE2 Remake at this E3.
- Game really important for team as they aim for the "highest peak action game before the end of this Heisei period".
- They treat "V" character's reveal as easter egg for now, new elements will be teased with each promotion.
- Upgradable Devil Breaker arm with "cartridges" to be found around stages (missions are back?), shop is used to buy upgrades.
- Nico is human "girl in the family of a gun-maker"

I for one am glad Nero is back, I'm just not sure I like the robotic arm they're going for. The trailer tells us there's a story reason for it, but that reason might have just been shoved in to have an explanation for the change in the first place. I just liked his demonic astral arm more, but eh...

Yeah, I wasn't too fond of that either, I guess the robotic arm opens up "possibilities" that the demonic arm couldn't, but it makes little sense for him to discard that demonic arm unless it's explained as a plot device.
I don't mind Nero as a character that much ( even though he's lame and uncool, all dialogue has always been real corny so it's not the end of the world ), but for the lack of depth in playing him since he only has that motorcycle-like sword + arm combo.
I had so much more fun playing as Dante than him in DMC4.. Maybe the robotic arm is a way to introduce new styles for him, I hope so.
