I used to think that way too, but sadly even upsampled/downscaled doesn't quite compare, it doesn't add geometry to the backgrounds nor replace the updated character models, improved SSAO or special effects. It's still damned pretty under PCSX2 but definitely not as good
I dont see much of those improvements in that video. Some sporadic better textures don't mean much depending on frequency. The baby faces arguably worse even to be honest (like the on posted by civ01)
Anyway. Im sure this remaster is the best graphically, but I never said anything else.
I bought this for the PS Vita and loved it - great characters, interesting story - but the added resolution will be a bonus. I'll definitely give it a go on PC - hopefully it will be a good conversion.
Too bad i won't really have time to play X-2: Soon comes Doom, then Homefront, then Overwatch and then the new Witcher DLC.
Thankfully i'm not interested in modern shooters at all (i pretty much only played fast arena shooters anyway and those are dead) so this leaves just the Witcher DLC for me.
Is x-2 as bad as i've heard? I finished X about a year ago, and haven't tried X-2 yet, but i hear the tone is light and it's story is hard to take seriously cause it was goofy or something like that.
No, it's not. Same way people rage about X being terrible and they're absolutely unequivocally incorrect. Both games are great, with X-2 having a fun - but yes, goofy - story, a great ending to X, and a damned enjoyable battle system.
It's much lighter than X if I recall correctly. Your roster doesn't change much (if at all) during the game, and classes correspond to "dresses" of your main protagonists. I didn't get far into X-2 after finishing X.
Signature/Avatar nuking: none (can be changed in your profile)
