http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2191671/
I searched for it and it came up empty.
Does no one here watch this show?
Its the US version of sherlock holmes.
Its not as good as the British one, but its a pretty good show.
At first watson being a girl bothered me, but you get used to it after a while, plus shes decent to look at. And the guy that plays sherlock does a good job.
I just watched the season finale and im quite excited about season 2.

I do watch it. I consider the show very good mainly because of Jonny Lee Miller (aka Sickboy for most of us). I dl'ed the finale, gonna watch it later today.
I would recommend the show as interesting with erratic behavior from Sherlock (like in the UK show).
UK show is maybe slightly better (and a bit more complicated with the evidence gathering) and has more action. Its best to watch both Smile

UK show is "maybe slightly better"?

I'm sorry, but no. You can't compare them; Elementary quite frankly has fuck all to do with Sherlock Holmes other than having a nutty British genius as its protagonist. Don't get me wrong, Elementary is not that bad actually. But it is not fucking Sherlock Holmes, they're only using that name (and Watson for that matter) for the publicity. Very little regard for the books in almost every way. I honestly tried watching it, but it pisses me off that they're just using the names to advertise.

That said, even then, BBC's Sherlock is a far better show. Better pacing, proper episodes, better acting, better writing...just better on every front :/
The banter between "Sherlock" and "Watson" in Elementary is probably the best thing of that show, but the UK version's got that as well...and does it better.

I do agree however that US "version" is much simplified than the UK one. The UK version's Sherlock is superhuman and the US version's just a genius Very Happy
I enjoyed both versions and, since the are no new UK episodes, i like to watch the US Sherlock.

I'm still on the fence about this show, one part of me would want to watch it for the lulz, the other one keeps saying "nopenopenope" with Cumberbatch's deep scary voice. Razz

Its an OK show for me so far, though the latest episode was quite different, a bit dark and interesting (guest appearance by Vinnie Jones). Things seem to be finally moving along in the main plot with the primary antagonist's introduction (by proxy), and JLM's acting was excellent in it. Still cant compare to Sherlock Cool though it's a good enough time-pass I guess.

Elementary it's not bad for a show to fill the time between the seasons of Sherlock and Lucy Liu as Watson it's quite nice.

Watched 3 episodes and gave up. It has nothing to do with Sherlock Holmes and on its own it's just another criminal series with lead character who is smarter than everyone else around him. It's not even executed that well, there are lots of cliches and twists you can see miles away. Just medicore series that has nothing unique about it.

never got around to give this a try (never really realized it existed, would be proper reason i guess) and DAYUM i'm loving it.

Already at episode 13 and going strong Smile

The actors are doing a great job and it's just fun to watch.

I especially love, that there is always a twist after the twist ^^

Reaction

PS I stopped watching it after the first season .

Lucy Liu is hot and all, but it's not enough.
