And also: this is not "paying respects to old games" it's a cheap excuse for "we can't haz no graphics".

I totally fail to see the charm of "nostalgic" games that basically look like something 15+ years ago. If we're talking old consoles and even older stuff like C64, Amiga etc. I can totally understand it, it's the golden era of computer gaming where developers had to beat the lackluster hardware by incorporating game play to offset any performance limits.

When it comes to PC games, we're basically seeing the same old classic games rehashed, re-imagined and redesigned with modern hardware in mind.

Sad not even quake 1 quality again, no fuck you developers.

shit weapon models that take up the entire screen.
shit monsters with ai that merely comes directly at the player.
shit models for monsters.. most look like a giant red dick..

No Hexen and Heretic look better than your game even with sprite based graphics.

Its far from perfect, I liked it... the episode excuse for not rlsing a full game, not so much. (completed episode one aka what was released now. Only two weapons was missing from this episode, so that gives me the feeling the next episode isnt exactly around the corner) Rolling Eyes
