hmm a Palit 1080gtx jetstream. Constant flickering on screen, swapped out with another 1080 but no flickering... is the card due a return?, or is there something else I can try. Sad

It was okay for about 10 seconds when I first plugged it in by the way, then the flickering started. I stuck it in the 2nd PCIe slot for the moment, no flickering at least..

It is either faulty or it has a higher power requirement than the other 1080 and your PSU is just on the limit.

The PSU recommended is 500W and over...try a different driver just to see? Try a different HDMI cord if you have connected it that way? But never try to fix a video card if new. Send it back if its under the warranty. Big investment 1080 so let them send you another

ta guys, yeah I just ended up sending it back for a return in the end, hopefully i'll get it back this week (been about 7 days so far).. I've never had a faulty graphic card before, although the non stop flickering screen sent alarm bells ringing straight away when I saw it.. Sad

Initially had the new pc connected up to the hdmi port on the tv as I had just finished setting it all up and gave it a quick test. Had thought it was a dodgy cable. or the card was not set properly so left it for the night and didn't think anymore about it. Wasn't till the morning when I linked it all up for proper and the problem persisted.. what a bummer. The psu is ok though guys, it was running the same cards before I broke the pcie port on the motherboard and ended up selling one of the cards. The dodgy one was another of the same that I had bought again when I got the new motherboard. Yeah didn't bother trying anything else, just sent it back. Thanks fellas.
