Release: EA: 31 Dec, 2017 // Full: second half of 2018
Genre: Turnbased Strategy
http://store.steampowered.com/app/470310/Troubleshooter/
Quote:
Troubleshooter is a turn-based RPG with the story of Albus and the events happening around him. The story begins with Albus becoming an official Troubleshooter who then returns to his hometown to begin his journey as he meets new friends and colleagues on the way.

Quote:
The story of Albus will be updated with at least 1 scenario stage every week.

You will experience different events and meet different people and make it through the missions by playing as Albus and controlling his colleagues.

The characters appearing in the missions will have different decisions to make, and this will affect the relationships of the characters within the game to provide a slightly different story depending on the decisions.

Quote:
The current version contains tutorial, 7 scenario stages and 2 repeatable stages.

There are colleagues who accompanies Albus through the game. You will be able to meet different characters as you play his story. You might meet them during missions and become friends or you can recruit them to make them an official member of the company.

Users may recruit different characters and choose different combinations for each mission to suit their style of play.

It's pretty good so far. Spent the entire day on Hard. The mechanics are pretty solid IMO.

Wow, I don't know how I've missed this one for so long.

It gives me some Persona vibes (at least in art style) + XCOM.

Is this worth getting now that is out of early access?

Yeah, pretty fun so far. Though it takes a while to ramp up. Like you get your third party member 10 hours or so into the game. They're saying it's around 80-100 or so hours and from what I've played, I believe it.

Thank you for answering!

Yeah, I've read that is quite long (like one playthrough is from 80 to 100 hours, I have no issue with that).

The main thing is how "anime" it gets because I've never really watched anime but during the years, I have enjoyed franchises that are in simillar vein to it such as Persona, FF, Danganronpa, Ace Attorney etc.

Fun game but I have one annoying issue. I can't start the game a second time without reinstalling again, did anyone else have this problem? Laughing

I will have to check which files are modified after first start.

Happened the same to me, it's a crack related issue. Seems like a good game, so i don't mind buying it instead of waiting for a crackfix.

Figured out how to get around it, basically the game has a problem starting once there are savefiles in the "saves" folder. It's easy to get around it, I just renamed the folder to "saves2" before starting the game, once the game started loading up I renamed it back to "saves" and it works.
It's a silly ghetto solution but it's like 3 seconds of work especially if you have a 2nd monitor with the folder open.
But you are right either way, the game isn't very expensive and it was made by a tiny 6 man team, only played a few hours but these people should be supported.

Well it's Corean from what I can tell based on the little voice acting available, and some of the designs aren't to my taste, but so far gameplay is fun at 12 hours in and nothing too ridiculous yet.

I would have preferred something like a Psycho Pass feel though, but again as it's Corean, I'm not sure what their anime tropes are as I haven't seen any Corean anime, even though most Japanese anime is made in Corea.

The game is addictive as fuck!
I just wanted to try it for a bit and then continue with my backlog, nope, 15-16 hrs in and it's just so much fun, especially played at super fast setting.
