2017 was a hell of a year for video games; can 2018 top it? We've combed our calendars for what we think are the most promising, or at least the most interesting, prospects due out this year - that we know about. Most of these games have been announced for 2018; some have no release date but we think stand a good chance of making it out before year's end. And of course, there are bound to be many great games out this year that we don't know about yet. With those caveats in mind, and in rough order of expected release date, here's what we're looking forward to this year.
Nah they probably assume it'll be ported over later but depending on which Rockstar studio handles development it might remain console exclusive.
It'll still be a year or so if not more before they port anything too I'd imagine though the engine code should at least be less what the fuck and more human readable now to actually allow for a port in the first place.
So now you have Wild West Online with currency packs and monetization that'll probably be exploited harder than the native American population ever was.
not many interesting stuff. Sadly Shadow of the colossus, days gone, god of war and Last of us 2 are ps4 exclusive. Even though I have ps4 it's terrible that good games are locked out from pc (and they cost more).
Spelunky 2 will probably be amazing. Vampyr might be interesting aswell as Metro.
Rdr2 will 100% make it to pc. Probably about 6 months after consoles.
And hope that Call of Cthulhu game is still coming in 2018
3080 | ps5 pro
Sin317-"im 31 years old and still surprised at how much shit comes out of my ass actually ..."
SteamDRM-"Call of Duty is the symbol of the true perfection in every aspect. Call of Duty games are like Mozart's/Beethoven's symphonies"
deadpoetic-"are you new to the cyberspace?"
Well Battlefield is rumored to go WW2 next so I wonder what COD might be doing though I'm not sure which studio is heading COD-2018 either, Treyarch next?
(Convoluted story mode time, nice support for the MP stuff though if a bit costly for the DLC things I guess because Activision and fuck giving the game a disocount sale, ever.)
RDR 2, Day's Gone, Kingdom Come, Spiderman all look promising.
God of War might be good too.
Vampyr.. not sure why its even on these lists.. it looks like a low budget game and they've showed very little of it, it does not look the least promising.. hope im wrong.
Last of Us 2 is a 2019 title... at least according to the composer.. i have a really hard time believing it will be released in 2018.

Not much to get excited about. Hopefully good stuff is yet to be announced
Has that ever happened though.. someone announces a game, and it's released the same year? I don't think so. Usually 2-5 years before release is the norm.
There are many future titles that I'm looking forward to, though their release date is still somewhat undecided (Metro Exodus, Call of Cthulu, The Bard's Tale 4, Phoenix Point, the System Shock reboot, Psychonauts 2, Ori 2, Spelunky 2, Darksiders 3, No Truce with the Furies, Anno 1800, BattleTech, Mechwarrior 5 etc..long list is long ). And then there's Mount and Blade 2, the legendary beast that thrives in its wild mysterious wildness.
Kingdom Come, Pillars 2, Agony, Vampyr, Sunless Skies should have a more secure schedule for 2018 unless something apocalyptic happens, but one never really knows. At least there's the big backlog that's full of exciting stuff already, running out of games to play is not an option!
Definitely: Frozen Synapse 2, Bard's Tale IV, Battletech, Pillars of Eternity 2
Up in the air about: Phoenix Point
That's pretty much it. Hope some studios/publishers are keeping shit quiet and just not announcing 3-127 (in the case of SC) years in advance. Otherwise, looks like a weak year.

This and terraria: otherworld although its in development hell.
It looks like a shit year for pc. Maybe a bit worse than 2017 which didn't impress me at all. RDR2 and TLoU2 seem like games that will sell great on pc if they get ported.
