Friend just ordered a pc in parts for about ~1350€ in germany and I'd be happy if you guys could take a quick look!
Machine will be mostly for gaming at gsync'd 1080p (although a 4K display is available as well) and later some audio and video recording, but not at a grand scale where lots of raw cpu power would be vital.
~490€
8GB Gainward GeForce GTX 1080 Phoenix Aktiv PCIe 3.0 x16 (Retail)
Prices for the 1070 were almost the same
~190€
ryzen 1600 boxed
similarly priced new intel seemed unavailable
~145€
Asus Prime X370-Pro AMD X370 So.AM4 Dual Channel DDR4 ATX Retail
~190€
16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX LP schwarz DDR4-3200 DIMM CL16 Dual Kit
~90€
500 Watt be quiet! Straight Power 10 CM Modular 80+ Gold
~80€
250GB Samsung 850 Evo 2.5" (6.4cm) SATA 6Gb/s TLC Toggle (MZ-75E250B/EU)
~55€
2000GB Seagate BarraCuda ST2000DM006 64MB 3.5" (8.9cm) SATA 6Gb/s
~70€
Fractal Define R5 Black
~375€
Acer Predator XB241Hbmipr
1080p gsync monitor, not included in total price above. This sound like a strange combination with a 1080.

its a good system, psu is ok too. its not bad (though im personally not a fan of be quiet, a few bad experiences with it. but every other psu could fail too. its a bit pricey for what it offers, 70 euros would be fair tbh). would say if its not ordered yet go for a corsair vengeance 500 or if your friend wants it modular the 550m
the predator g-sync monitor doenst sound strange with the 1080, cause its a 144hz panel. do the math what power is needed for 144fps instead of 60 in fullhd compared for example to a 60hz wqhd or even 4k display. imho 144hz @ fullhd is a better experience than 60@hz at wqhd. 4k capable system would be much more expensive (1080ti needed etc)
