Suppose you take any image no matter how exact it may be in terms of precision and colorspacing and detail. Then you select that in Windows 10 as background image to your desktop. It looks like SHIT. It looks as if you took it and saved it as 4:2:0 jpeg at 85% quality instead of "native" or full bit-exact quality. HOW THE FUCK, CAN YOU GET AN EXACT IMAGE AS BACKGROUND????? EDIT: look here... In the above example I set the wallpaper via the explorer. Now I set it with the wallpaper settings in Win 10 and immediately fiddled with the fit setting because I thought 'tile' or something would perhaps prevent some bullshit resampling nonsense. The problem is gone. In fact, I unset the wallpaper and reapplied it via explorer again and flipped through the fit settings and it still looks fine.

Haha yeah, the wincompression is one of those "features" that don't make any sense, I've been circumventing the issue by simply converting the various jpg/jpeg files to png since the former seems to be the only one affected by this. Silly Microsoft is silly Random creations of an insane mind / Screens from Bulgaria [Early Access]

I only tested pngs though, because I didn't want the format to have such features, so in my case it managed to fuck it up once, despite that
