The series is recorded in the village of Avaldsnes in Karmøy municipality, Rogaland, Norway, and it was recorded simultaneously in both Norwegian and English-language versions.
The show has that deadpan-ish style that hangs between constant awkwardness and unpredictability with completely random bits of dark humour, I didn't really know what to expect but I'm being entertained as well

Yeah, both this and the original Norwegian Version of Maniac were sleeper hits when they aired last(?) year.
Norwegian tv shows has really upped their quality the last 5 years, with both originality and production values.
Skam being the greatest international hit, but several shows have been bought or remade.
Edit:Seems that time flies a bit to quickly for me, Maniac was 2014 and Norsemen 2016, i must be getting old
While I understand norwegian perfectly well (I'm 50% Norwegian after all, born with norwegian citizenship) I prefer the norwenglish for the pure added fun.
So its available in norwegian too? i can't stand the english, just from looking at the trailer i can tell its too inconsistent, sometimes its good sometimes they give zero effort and it sounds more like norwegian than english, that will irritate the fuck out of me. would prefer norwegian + english text.
No dubs, they film two distinct versions. I've compared the second season, and while some of the shots are the same, in some cases there are slight variations. But they are very slight. I find the English version more comical.
hearing heavy english accents is funny for 5 seconds, then you want to puke your guts out. well at least it's not danish-english accent, which is worse than even norwegian-eng or swe-eng accents..

Usually I agree. But here they overdo it so much, it creates an additional comical layer.
