StellarHub is a starbase management game with strong survival elements, where you act as the Captain of a space station embarked on a pioneering mission to build new homes for humans in outer space.
Assemble modules to build an extensive station
You can choose from a range of 30 different modules (including solar panels, research labs, crew quarters, organic farms, greenhouses and many more) equipped with all kind of facilities to ensure your station stays functional and safe. Every module consumes a certain amount of energy and oxygen and needs time and resources to be assembled so ponder your choices carefully!
Manage, take care and enhance your station crew
Each crew member is endowed with a unique set of skills and abilities, as well as personality traits and specific needs. Find the most efficient way to assign them to various tasks such as construction, extraction of resources, research and trade. Watch your crew thrive but always remember to keep an eye on their morale and health conditions -- once someone dies they're gone forever! Preserve them by building special modules for leisure activities and med bays.
Develop research and trade to enhance the efficiency of your station
Use the Scientific Research Map to unlock special bonuses and technologies that affect some vital aspects of your station ecosystem such as the speed of resource depletion, the power of your defense weapons, the growth rate of livestock and so on. Trade ores and other resources with space merchants to avoid running out of funds or supplies.
Test your planning skills on different types of environments
You will be able to choose among 6 different worlds offering unique playing conditions and challenges to face (sun and meteor activity, the presence of space pirates, resource amount and placement, etc.) or to randomly generate a completely new map. Will you be able to master them all?

Some details:
Work assigments
No more strange control buttons like "send to medbay", "stop working" etc. Now each crew member can be assigned to the respective station module to do their work. For example, a carrier assigned to a storage will take resources there; or a medic assigned to a medical bay will treat patients there; a technician assigned to a construction site will carry on the building task, etc. You do not need to set priorities anymore; simply assign the character to the module and they'll do their job. Each character can have assigments to different modules.
Difficulty
We spent lots of time to level the difficulty of the game mechanics. Its still is slightly "hardcore", but now we hope it is much more playable and enjoying. Fatal events can still happen, but we've dramatically reduced its likeliness in easy difficulty level, to let the unskilled player learn, or just "chill up" on an ease-paced gameplay. Of course, it is not so easy to build a balanced station, but it is quite possible, and we hope much more joyful now!
Contracts
This is the main way to earn money in the game. The goal of any contract is to gather a certain amount of resources. Just get/produce them and deliver to contract owner via spaceport (the contract resources must be in the storage for the delivery to be enabled).
Scenario missions
There are 4 scenario missions (we plan on adding more in the future) with goals and also a "tutorial mode" to introduce some game aspects for the beginner. They should give you at least 10 hours of (we hope!) fully enjoyable gameplay. Also we added some "story" elements to the missions' description, to help the immersion.
Day/Night cycle
It is a very big feature introduced. Now every planetary system have their own day cycle and energetic particularities. All these basically affecting on solar activity (for example, solar panels not being able to produce energy at night).
Traders and tourists
Trade in the v1.0 was improperly handled; the economy was completely random. It could not be different, as for the normal flow of a healthy in-game economy, it would need to have a providing infrastructure or external environment of some sort (other stations, planets, etc.). It is simply impossible to fully develop all this at the moment. So we just removed them from the game and replaced them with contracts. As for tourists, they were practically useless. Perhaps we will return them in the future, but in a way they add more to the game.
Tutorial
Tutorial in the v.1.0 was... not very good. Now the very first "scenario mission" is a short tutorial on the basics of the game. Just the very base aspects, nothing more. Throughout the other missions (if "tutorial mode" checkbox is checked) useful information on certain aspects of the game will be displayed as they become available, or at a good time to learn about them. We hope this improves the beginner experience with the game, whilst allowing experienced players to review their knowledge, and still not compromising the fun!
