Nah..I think amazon first releases a pilot and then based on the feedback they order the series.

I think thats Amazons thing on almost every new show. Air the pilot, observe the ratings and act accordingly.

Well it's a waste of money just doing a pilot for something like Netflix or Amazon.
It just shows me that they have no faith in the project and need to know whether or not they can milk people for it.
Concept looks brilliant. Idea is nice. Cast is nice. But let's see if people wanna see it? Either you do the project or not. You do a pilot... Have the actors sit and wait and possibly move to another project... And they decide to green light the series and they won't have the same cast.
It's wise if you're network TV but if you're streaming service you need to show you have balls to carry a project . Have faith in it.
