Many of you know I've had nothing but problems getting my new pc to work.
Seeing as I got my money back from overclockers I have two choices.
1 replace the DFI lanparty mobo and get something new.
I've had nothing but problems with it. It's very fussy on which memory it uses, even Corsair mem wouldn't work with it. It has to use OCZ revision 2 memory which is a pain in the arse to get. Not to mention I'm out most of the day so I can't take a delivery from a net company.
2 get the ocz memory.
I'm thinking of getting a new mobo but which one?

Judging from only that I'd definitly say go with a new mobo, but to help you decide which, I'd need more info. As in, what ram you got now and what cpu you want on it. Got any chipset preference? What's your gfx card? PCI-E or AGP? price limit? special things you need on it? (like firewire, 7.1 audio or something) minimum amount of pci slots? need a scsi controller? RAID? sata min? (they all come with it anyways now) etc etc.

EDIT: Any brand you really like or really hate?
I personally quite hate Asus.. had nothing but problems with them.. probably only my super badluck but anyways.. Smile

Plan on using Linux on it?

Sorry I should have added more details.

I got a Gigabyte Mobo so I'm hoping that should sort it.

Pretty sweet system, although I think the Fatal1ty-gear is a piece of shit.

Still not buying Samsung ram Jenni, it really works great, i have installed it in hundreds of PC's at work without any problems. Now you are trying Geil, did you know that geil is german for horny Laughing I didn't know that Abit is still alive, last time i heard from them they were in some financial and legal trouble. Anyways, good look with your new setup Smile

I didn't get the fatality board. I got a dfi lanparty and it's crap. So I just ran out and got a Gigabyte board. I'm now on my new machine and it was pain free.
I'm using unbranded mem and it seems fine.

A friend of mine had problems with the DFI Lanparty as well... don't know the specifics, but Gigabyte is a decent brand, I'd say Smile

Kewl your system works as you wanted Smile - I hate it when newly purchased techno gadgets don't work.

Tell me about it. A few minor problems are still about. But I'll sort them out when I get a chance.

I'd have gotten some OCZ mem, from personal experience it's the toughest brand. Haven't tried Geil though, so I can't comment much.

Personal taste: I prefer the MX 518 for a mouse, I just don't like the diamond razerback.. it's good, great even.. but hell I dont like holding it... great mouse anyways.

Kickass system btw Smile
