“Locked Up” follows young Macarena Ferreiro (Maggie Civantos), who is framed by her lover and boss for corporate fraud. She ends up in the Cruz del Sur jail, surrounded by ruthless criminals. When her only friend and cell mate ends up brutally killed, Macarena becomes implicated in a multimillion hold-up that could turn her life around.
If you want a more gripping and gritty Orange Is The New Black with boobs,Spanish swearing, a pervy prison doctor , a bit of Prison Break and a properly developing lesbian interest (Curly is da best!) then I think you'll find this show interesting.
Unfortunately I couldn't find HD release, there is only a s01 webrip on kat & usenet (locked up s01 hardcoded sno). Season 2 ends in June, no English subs yet...
Tbh I liked it more than Bad Girls, Wentworth and Orange is the new black.Especially OITNB that had too much boring crap and annoying characters..Locked Up sometimes gets kinda silly writing-wise (last episodes) but overall it stays entertaining and the pace is pretty balanced throughout the whole season.
The second season with English subtitles is available now for downloading. (Locked Up (Vis a Vis) S02 - Hardcoded Eng Subs - Sno). I wish there was HD release though ;(
I've just finished binge-watching it. It gets even more silly and over the top but it never stops being entertaining and carries itself at a breathtaking pace.

It's a shame it's the last season. But at least this tv series has gone out with a bang and ended in a such a way that you are not left disappointed.
One of the best "female prison" tv shows out there especially compared to a certain US borefest show.
