AUTOMOBILISTA puts you in the driving seat of one of the most advanced racing simulators and delivers a uniquely diverse motorsports experience!
As the natural successor to Reiza Studios´ previous title - the highly regarded Stock Car Extreme, originally released in 2013 - AUTOMOBILISTA continues to simulate the premium Brazilian racing series such as Stock Car V8, Copa Petrobras de Marcas, Formula 3 Brasil and Mitsubishi Lancer Cup, now packing every car and every track from their respective 2015 championships.
Beyond the brazilian core, AUTOMOBILISTA is extensively complemented with one of the most diverse selections or racing vehicles you will find in a racing game: only in AUTOMOBILISTA will you be able to jump from a rental kart to a 800-HP single-seater; from drifting a Rallycross EvoX to jumping ramps in a Supertruck; from mastering the driving basics in a Formula Vee to managing a full 24h race in an endurance prototype; back and forth through historical and modern content featuring a sample from several decades of racing history - all of this and much more within a few mouse clicks. Thoroughly researched and cohesively developed for maximum simulation accuracy, AUTOMOBILISTA captures the fun only motorsports in its various forms can provide.
In addition to the content already present in Stock Car Extreme - all of which comprehensively upgraded - AUTOMOBILISTA turns it up to a new level by adding all the new cars & tracks proposed in the SimRacing Bonanza crowdfunding campaign, new simulation features such as dynamic track conditions, advanced transmission and tire modelling, substantial upgrades to physics, graphics & audio, new game modes and much more!
These are some of the features that make AUTOMOBILISTA stand out as a purebred racing simulator:
· Upscaled 720 Hz physics and 500 Hz input rates grants AMS super-accurate, high fidelity physics and Force Feedback
· Vehicle physics based on models developed for professional racing teams with in-depth exclusive data
· Minutely detailed and accurately modelled race tracks with 3D bumps, custom road properties and air density according to its location and altitude
· Engine sounds sampled from high-quality recordings of real cars
· Capturing the ever-changing demands of racing.
· Cars with old-style gearbox mechanisms will demand proper gear engagement by using the clutch or synchronizing revs.
· Modern cars will demand handling of advanced electronic systems.
· High downforce cars will create an aerodynamic wake for those that follow.
· 24h cycles will allow racing from dusk to dawn and at night.
· Dynamic track conditions turn the racing line into a grippy rubbery trail and builds up marbles offline
· Dynamic tire damage & dirt pickup add further extra dimensions to the driving experience

My opinion on an older build I just spent 10 minutes with.... This is looking to be the definitive offline racer - the AI look competent, the racing feels great.

Been released for a while and some new DLC just hit.
It's such a good sim that no one knows about and/or doesn't care about because of the average graphics. Great quality physics and ffb across the board and some really interesting content. Can't recommend it enough to anyone who enjoys simracing.
You can turn him off or set how much he says to low/med/high but once the race gets going it's really good I reckon! On the first lap with all the commotion he certainly likes to talk a lot though
Reiza Studios proudly announced their new racing simulator – Automobilista 2, which is scheduled for release in December 2019. Automobilista 2 will once more focus on the Brazilian motorsports scene, featuring all major Brazilian racing series, circuits, and car manufacturers. As with its predecessor, Automobilista 2 will also feature more international flavored content.
The biggest surprise is the game engine choice. While many community members speculated that Reiza Studios would license the ISI gMotor2 rFactor 2 engine, because of their close partnership with Studio 397, the Brazilian developer now revealed their choice.
Automobilista 2 is powered by the Slightly Mad Studios MADNESS graphics engine as used for Project CARS 2. This means that besides gorgeous visuals, you can expect advanced features such as Day to Night transitions, Dynamic weather, Advance track physics, Director/Broadcasting functionality, and outstanding VR support.
Best sim out there as far as I'm concerned. And finally, a modern engine to replace the ancient gMotor
Really? Based on what? Sim Racers consensus or just your personal account?
Hehe it's my thought, but in general, Automobilista is quite universally considered a must-try for any sim enthusiast, especially for single-player racing. It's got really good physics and FFB, properly-tuned AI (a rarity ) and extreme moddability as well (it's rFactor's engine after all, and Reiza were born as modders).
Automobilista 2 was recently released and out of curiosity I gave the Codexian "1.0" version a try. To the surprise of absolutely no one, it's nowhere near as complete as it should be and pretty much anything (including the actual core features) is still very much in Early Access with Roadmaps and expensive Seasonal passes as a reminder of how the industry operates these days
As for the game itself, it's...essentially like a well-made mod for Project Cars 2, with more emphasis on the simulative element since the physics went through some noticeable refining. There's the usual focus on lesser-known classes and tracks (including Formula Truck, various open-wheelers from different eras, karts, and Brazilian stock cars), dynamic weather is there, the graphics are more than decent and the performance is rock-solid which is always a plus (yes ACC, I'm looking at you!). Alas, the single-player mode is very bare-bones at the moment and there are also serious bugs that clearly disclose the unfinished state of the product.
It might turn into something great, but it still needs a ton of time and more content. Mod support is a huge question mark, too. Hockenheim, Silverstone, Spa etc. will be eventually added, as well as street supercars, GT3/4 and 90s Tourism cars, so maybe there's hope for the future patient bear.
The game is still receiving constant updates with new features and content (they even added ovals for 'Muricans ) and after the premature release two years ago which was a silly mistake in my opinion, it's been slowly but steadily turning into an extremely solid driving sim. Although some licenses are missing because of obvious budgetary reasons, it's an impressive package that takes the best from Project Cars 2 and improves it. Props to Reiza for the persistence, more stuff is coming as well which sounds promising.
There isn't a career mode yet, but offline championships are now in and the roster of cars/tracks along with the improved AI allow for plenty of single-player action. The only limitation is that the Madness Engine is difficult to mod (still more doable than UE, though) which is a shame.
yeah bought this one awhile back, just to make sure reiza don't fall over. i don't think their initial offering was that bad, not any worse than project cars 2 anyway.
sadly i've barely even played it myself, maybe less than 5 hours because my crappy logitech wheel broke. AM2 is actually functional on gamepad (thanks to project cars?) but it's not quite the same without a wheel.
looking forward to proper oval support myself, few sims are any good with them and can handle a full race grid of AI.
the updates just don't seem to stop so i'm happy to have bought it for more or less full price. if only other developers had this much dedication.
Is the multiplayer popular?, sounds and looks brilliant.
There are always some people playing, though it's a niche title that's reached its all-time peak of ~1.3k, so not exactly big numbers. I bought it too a few months ago because the improvements have been consistent and overall, it's very rare to find such an extensive and polished sim - also in terms of predatory schemes when compared to the ridiculously greedy rFactor 2, Raceroom and the like. The tripe-y A industry sadly is so miserable that it's not even worth contemplating.
the physics are already good at this point so i'm wondering how far they're going
wasn't expecting them to add rallycross, they have barely even finished the oval/u.s dlc
