Broforce is a hyperviolent action platform game. It features 90′s blockbuster movie action heroes making up the Broforce team- an under-funded vigilante paramilitary organisation – saving the world from satanic alien terrorist investment banker businessmen in non-stop, fast paced co-operative strategic mayhem filled with more action and explosions than anything else, ever.
Broforce is being developed by Free Lives, an indie games studio based in Cape Town, South Africa. Broforce began as a Ludum Dare entry in the Ludum Dare #23 Game Jam in April 2012, where it was awarded First in the “Humour” category, Second in “Fun” and Fourth in “Graphics”. The Free Lives team loved what they had created and decided to focus their efforts full time into releasing it as a full, commercial game. The first Broforce “Brototype” was released in October 2012, and received excellent feedback. Since then the Brototype has been regularly updated and is available to play for free online. While the Brototype shows the kind of combat being developed, it does lack the depth, scale of content and narrative that the final game will include (and a lot else besides). The full game will launch towards the end of 2013.

This game looks brilliant, when I saw the trailer some weeks ago it was love at first sight xD
it looks like lots of fun:)
and,to be old means to be wise (and also to have Hemorrhoids and pain in the back and blood Pressure and high cholesterol etc.)
but.... mostly to be wise
I was just playing some of the beta and it's INSANELY fun! Such an absolute blast and a joy to play I love the Bro-play on names and although I'm not that far, my favourites are definitely Bro in Black, Brobocop and Brominator
Ahaa... it's "Bredd!" But yeah, some of them are plainly obvious even with the "Br" change to the name, especially the likes of Robocop and Terminator. I don't know how they get around it but I'm glad they have, heh.
Oh, it was? It looked exactly like Dredd, but the text is sometimes hard to see. I guess they get away with it because it's a parody of the characters + spelling the names wong.
They actually had to change the artstyle (sort of) a bit a while ago and it was for copyright reasons. The characters were too detailed I believe, making it very obvious who they are, so they made them more pixely I guess. Not sure why that changes things so much, but whatever...
Man, this is such a stress-relief game, blowing up stuff has never been so satisfying. Doesn't have pseudo-RPG bullshits like Mercenary Kings, this is all about fuck yeahing around and slaughtering people like there's no tomorrow. All the Bros from the 80s/90s are damn great with their own specific styles.

Indeed these are my favourites too! A tad op, but who cares
For anyone playing this (quite frankly superb) game, a free expansion has just come out (even though.. well.. the base game isn't finished yet.. interesting....)
Of course you have to own the base game to get it, which I don't... yet.. but still, go! Get it!
~edit~
Correction! This is a STANDALONE update and is completely free, doesn't require Broforce
The Expendabros have assembled and set their sights on the forces of ruthless arms dealer Conrad Stonebanks in the forests of Eastern Europe. Battle in a flurry of bullets and non-stop action through ten full-throttle missions set amongst the picturesque tree tops and the absurdly dangerous lumber mills teeming with enemy soldiers, excessive artillery, and inconveniently placed circular saws. Rescue your brothers in arms and play as seven different legendary soldiers – each with their own unique weapons and special attacks – with up to four players at once in local multiplayer co-op mode.
The Expendabros was created by Broforce developer Free Lives and will be available for download until December 31, 2014.
