Didnt asus use to have a tool for this? Or do i have to install a freaking floppy drive in my rig and do it the old dos way?

of course you have to install a floppy drive, there is NO WAY you could of ever flashed a bios chip via the web Razz.. trust me, your dreaming. Bios flashing requires a system to boot from a floppy (you might be able to get away with a CD) simple as that.

- Looks like most Mobo maufacturers have these now, however I am sure background work is still required! Surely bios flashing can not be fully done on the fly?

Mmm.. wow, im not used to being wrong Razz

This is my point though, they require a restart Razz! Reguardless of where the "flash" is "done" the restart is no doubt where the actual flash happens Razz. Doing it on the fly is a little unbelivable but the prep work for the flash could very well be done in Widnows.
