How he prepares for the axe scene is awesome
Funny thing is he kinda reminds me of my dad in the Shining, the same hair (minus the crazyness)
The numbers don't decide, the system is a lie. The river running dry, the wings of butterflies.
And you may pour us away like soup. Like we're pretty broken flowers.
We'll take back what is ours. One day at a time.
Jack Nicholson's m̶e̶t̶h̶o̶d̶ ̶a̶c̶t̶i̶n̶g natural self before shooting the axe scene is brilliant and hilariously creepy, no wonder the iconic "Here's Johnny" line was improvised, the movie's Jack and real one were practically the same
Haha, yeah, he is one hell of a guy, and even his co-star (Shelly) knew to take a wide berth, lol. He has some 'presence' about him, no doubt about that.
I honestly think that we wouldn't be surprised if Jack threw the axe in real life, lol. I find this stuff fascinating indeed.
Yeah, he used a real axe on a real door. The story goes that they first prepared a fake or cheap door for him to cut through, but he went through that way too easy and fast
I think some of Shelly's reactions in the bathroom aren't acted But Kubrick did treat her like shit during production to make her feel extra miserable.
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"
