Ready or Not is a tactical first person shooter which places you in the boots of an elite SWAT team, tasked with diffusing hostile situations in intense, claustrophobic environments. It’s set in a nondescript modern America, where an income disparity between the classes have become unsustainable and the country has been plunged into havoc. Bring order to chaos with up to 8 players in cooperative play, battle enemy squads in a close player-vs-player environment, or command AI in a striking single-player mode.

To be honest. The amount of people doesn't matter as long as they are passionate. I take a game made by 3 very passionate people that are gamers themselves over any game that is made by 100-300 unpassionate non-gamer code monkeys at some AAA joint...
They are using the Unreal engine and have some reasonably good assets and maybe a couple of WIP maps. That is what the trailer showed and nothing more.
This genre is too hard to get right by a small team IMO.
I really don't like how they play with my feelings... I believe it when I see it. That trailer is useless

It looks interesting, but after the Takedown fiasco I don't trust any of this game...
+1
Pretty much this really. Some years ago it would have been different, but after all the disappointments, crushed hopes, more disappointmentsand more crashed hopes, a good idea and an interesting cinematic trailer alone aren't anywhere enough to make me go all giggity and see shades of genuine Swat 5 men. It surely is a titanic task for such a small team, see you in 2019 for the first alpha footage :')
I feel like people have consistently complained and shit all over cinematic only reveal trailers for the past 10 years, yet people still release them.
What the FUCK.
The reason for that is because if they released an actual game-play trailer it would kill hype instead of build it. Style over substance - the gaming industry in a nutshell.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

If they showed some beta footage of their shitty game, we would be like "omg, why do they show this unfinished gameplay with weak guns and shitty animations?"
WE MADE THIS TRAILER FOR A VIDEO GAME COMBINING ALL THE THINGS THAT WE KNOW FANS OF SWAT AND RAINBOW SIX MIGHT WANT TO SEE.
WE NAMED THE GAME 'READY OR NOT' BECAUSE WE DON'T KNOW WHETHER WE'RE READY OR NOT EITHER, HAHA, SO IT KIND OF STUCK.
WE ARE 3 PEOPLE. WE COULDN'T FIND ANYONE ELSE WHO WANTED TO HELP US. WE HAVE NO MONEY. WE HAVEN'T MADE A GAME TOGETHER BEFORE. THIS IS OUR FIRST PROJECT AS A TEAM. BUT WE ARE CONFIDENT THAT WE CAN MAKE YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE AND MAKE THE BEST DAMN RAINBOW 6/SWAT SIM EVER.
SPREAD THE WORD. SEND MONEY (srsly help, i'm starving).
TRUST ME. I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING. MY FAVORITE GAME IS HALO AND... YEAH HALO IS A GOOD GAME.
("kill. me. now.")
According to my calculations we only need close to 100 more team members and about 20 to 50 million dollars to make a game that will begin to resemble what PC gamers expect from us. It will take around 4 to 6 years, not including the possibility of Early Access. In other words NO PROBLEM. Once we get a publisher, real friends, co-workers, money and a private jet to our exotic island fortress - WE WILL START PROGRAMMING THIS GAME.
If you send money to the bank account specified on our professionally designed website we probably won't die of starvation.
Visit our friends at SWAT (next generation) [SWATNG.com]. They are also going to make the best damn rainbow six/swat sim ever. (we hate them).

Doesn't mean that's the case here. Just saying.
It doesn't matter how passionate they are. There will be no QA, bug testing etc.
It will be full of great ideas but they will implement them poorly.
And the fact they put together a trailer but not a gameplay video means that they are full of shit.
If they are sooo passionate about their game they would be busy working on the actual game, and not on a trailer.
This trailer is all "we want something like this, but don't know how to achieve it via gameplay".
"The amount of people doesn't matter as long as they are passionate."
Grand Theft Auto V was developed by more than 1,000 people across multiple Rockstar Games studios. That's info directly from the president of the company.
But, yeah. I'm sure 3 people could have done it, if they were passionate enough. It is all about the passion in the modern gaming industry, you know.
News of game like the original Rainbow Six and SWAT 3/4 with some manpower and money behind it would be hype-fuel af.
No, they don't, because there is no actual depth on your screen.
I am not against DOF, it is a good tool to focus you on something, or to keep something a mystery, especially in cut-scenes. Doom had a very good implementations that was non-intrusive during gameplay. Here it's terrible.
Wheres the gameplay footage?, or are people seeing something that I'm not. Various peeps are giving positive hype about this but I saw nothing but CGI footage.. what of the game are you reading from that or do you literally just like the video guys?.
