This video is not very scientific/evidence based, but it made me think about the subject and it seems kinda plausible...

First of all, I'm pretty convinced that refined carbs and sugar are very bad for me, they give me crazy insulin peaks (I feel very sleepy after eating sweets). Red meat (especially processed, as in sausages etc) is known for causing cancer (so I'm not sure a paleo diet, or atkins style would be good --besides, the atkins himself "had a history of heart attack, congestive heart failure and hypertension" when he died at 72...).

TL;DR: It seems that eating once a day and avoiding sweets and red meat is indeed healthier. What do you think?

Breathing fresh air is cancerous nowadays. Living after these fucking scientists discoveries is no way to live. Most of their finding gets debunked anyway.

Eating is as much a lifestyle choice as anything nowadays. Just stick with something you feel personally comfortable with. We all know too much sugar or fat is bad... just as anything if you overdo it.

The extremes like paleo or veganism are also too much for me, I think everything should be allowed, in moderation.

And the eating once a day thing really doesn't work for me either, that's too extreme again. I eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a piece of fruit in the afternoon. When I didn't have a small snack in the afternoon I always felt sleepy at work around 5pm, apparently that was the low blood sugar.

Just experiment yourself how you feel best, don't follow some self-proclaimed "expert". These people just figured out what's best for themselves and try to preach to other people about it and make a quick buck.

Intermittent fasting is quite good. I'm on a ketogenic diet and feel better than I did before. If I eat "normal" (including regular carbs) I gain weight very fast and feel like shit:

... how about no? Very Happy

My self-imposed conviction goes something like this.

I'm allowed to eat everything. But not always.

I don't ever exclude anything specific from the menu; instead I make a point out of not eating IE burgers etc. every day of the week.

Simplified thinking: Its okay to indulge oneself once in a while.

Realization: I've noticed IE a burger tastes better if you havent had a burger recently, so yeah. It kind of works out for me. I'm not a healthy dude or sporty, but I'm not overweight.

Overall view: It is your lifestyle, what you do and eat over longer periods of time that matters. Not whether you ate a burger or drank some beer. Find a balance that works for you; don't cage yourself in too much by limiting specific food items if there aren't health reasons, allergies etc type concerns, because that just makes everything 'illegal' and more tempting, I think.

Thanks man! Absolutely! I do not claim that it has to be keto for eveyone, but you know I see stuff like this:

https://www.nytimes.com/2016/09/13/well/eat/how-the-sugar-industry-shifted-blame-to-fat.html

and then I think about the times where I was absolutely unhappy and tried to lose weight with all different sorts of diets, sports and similar to no effect.. and then I just turned to a ketogenic diet and my problems were solved. 10 years of being unnecessary fat... of course I ate a lot of terrible stuff were I knew it would be bad for me, but I spent an equal amount of time to actually have proper nutrition (to my knowledge then this consisted of smaller meals, more grains, less fat, more fruits and all veggies were good) and just continued getting fatter and fatter...

Also lost quite some weight, dropped sugar aside from the odd kit kat once a week and a glass of juice per day on some weeks. Added 1.5 to 2l of water per day, cut bread intake in half and dropped red meat (aside from a small saturday or sunday mini BBQ to celebrate the weekend Laughing ) and a few more changes, lost 20kg slowly accross 1.5yrs.

Best part is that was with zero exercise and with an office chair potato job
