They're great fun with effects etc. Don't mind the plot.
But I didn't like the third.

My problem with the Resident Evil films is the focus on the uninterseting Alice played by Milla "maybe if I half whisper all my lines people will believe I'm a badass" Jovovich.
She seems like a nice gal but come on, every other character including actual characters from the games that people like are reduced to nothing just to add more screen time for Alice.
I bet you Anderson is pussywhipped.

I watched the last one the other day, it suffers from horrendous editing. There's a scene where Alice runs like 10 feet and it's cut 72 times.

Each movie went bigger and bigger (with the exception of the last, I think, which I haven't yet seen) in terms of how many effects they put in, while the budget stayed low. As a result, Retribution often didn't look good.
